This filter works on my Cub Cadet 54 inch ZT1 Zero Turn Mower with Kohler 7000 Series V-Twin engine. I use K&N filters on all of my vehicles and equipment when available. I’ve been using K&N for over 30 years now. Dang I’m old.

I put this on my 2000 Tundra with the 4.7L engine. It fit perfectly with no issues whatsoever, and has been maintaining its seal with no leaks. I chose this so that I can remove it easily with a socket rather than trying to crank at a slippery filter by hand. I would recommend this product to anyone looking to change out their filter for an easier to remove filter.

The main reason I like these is the hex head for a socket. My filters location makes it difficult/impossible to use a strap wrench and the plastic adapters that fit over a standard filters head usually slip due to these cheaper filters ultra thin housings. mileage is not a consideration for me since I always replace the filter when changing oil. The price has jumped 50% lately, but I assume it has for all brands of filters. The K&N filters are rugged and have better filtration over the cheaper units (Fram, etc) based on many well thought out test/reviews.

K&N makes great oil filters. I have noticed the color of the oil draining out during oil changes to be slightly lighter in color and not totally dark brown. They are way better oil filters than stock and filter probably a little better too. Since K&N makes oil filters for race cars they are good enough for my Toyota Tacoma. Toyota doesn’t make oil filters and as much as they know the OEM filter works good enough the K&N may work just a little better. Of course you may think this is all subjective and if you are always good about changing your oil that will ensure your motor’s longevity lasts no matter if you use a K&N or OEM filter.

The nut on the top makes it soooo ezey to remove.

The nut on top makes this the only brand to get in some cases. Some of my vehicles have oil filters in tight spots where a normal oil filter wrench will not work or is a real pain to use. The nut on top makes removal and installation a snap.

I freaking love the hex on the end, makes it so easy to take off, even without a filter wrench.

The wrench off make it easy to remove the old filter in the tight area of my 2004 Tacoma truck. Other brands require special wrench adapters that slip, or just does not fit.
