I bought this because it is Metric and English. I like to use Metric in carpentry so I dont have to mess with fractions. I didnt know the brand, but I took a flier. I am very happy with the quality and feel. I expect to have it for quite a while.

Ya get what ya pay for. Main complaint is this thing goes about 2 feet before the tape bends. Other then that its fine.
