Save your proprietary ends or attachments and screw this hose in on both ends. It wont fit perfect. You have to mess with it until each end feels snug or secure. Replaces the hose on LG model LP1215GXR and feels much thicker, and more durable than the original that had become very brittle after just 5 years in the sun.

Replacing a hose on an LG AC. Seems more durable and sturdy than original (which lasted many years, it finally fatigued and the material was falling apart when flexed). The grooves on the two end pieces that the hose twists into do not seem to be clockwise or anti-clockwise, would work either way, so at least in my case Im not sure it would matter, although the old hose was anti-clockwise and this new anti-clockwise one works well.

The apartment I was living in has terrible insulation so the AC works overtime and, unlike this much sturdier Kraftex AC hose, the original hose had quickly burned and fallen apart. I went through a lot of duct tape and pieces of metal duct trying to fix the old hose before finding the Kraftex one here. It fit my generic imported AC unit perfectly with the advantage of being long enough to reach the window and still allow movement of the air conditioner. I noticed right away that this hose was made of superior materials compared to the original hose. It was definitely worth buying to replace the original.

I decided to keep it.

We ordered this last spring when the original hose that came with our portable air conditioner started to crack. It actually last another six months. So we’ve installed this and it’s working fine. We should order another to have on hand just in case!

Our house A/C was out for the better part of a week - blown hard-start capacitor. While waiting for parts or a repair person (they arrived first so I used them) we needed some relief from the heat. My trusty portable A/C to the rescue. Unfortunately the windows in the house are higher than the exhaust provided with the A/C could reach, so for the first 2 days I put it on the kitchen counter. Not a great solution. This longer vent hose did the trick. Installed in seconds, seems like the same material as the original.
