This is an excellent caliper for the price. I really like how they give you a box to keep it safe in. If youre just doing general automotive work like leveling carbs this is great and will serve its purpose. Do not use this for machining work, It is not accurate to a .01mm.

Easy to use and most of all easy to read

No longer works after less than 1 year of light use. The original battery died (maybe?). Went to replace the battery and multiple different new batteries would not work. The screen would briefly turn on when the new battery was placed, but the second the tool was moved or the battery shifted in its own slot the tool would cease to function. This includes the simple act of replacing the battery cover. The caliper is completely useless now. Cheap junk.

Good buy for the money

Tested against most of my Fireball shims, read accurate on all tested.

Initial review after just receiving the caliper, Ill update if anything changes as I use this thing everyday. Im impressed by the quality of materials, this thing is weighty, has easy access to change of function settings, comes with a tool to open battery area, also comes with 2 new in the package 2032 batteries, and one already installed, I thinks thats pretty generous. The case is hard plastic with two clasps with an untextured area for marking with your name/company name. Im happy with this purchase so far, and again, will update if it sh!ts the bed on me.

Ive been using mine every day since I got it. No issues. Very heavy duty feeling. Seems to scribe fine. Sides very smooth and tight with no backlash or wobbling. Im not expecting this to perform like a high end set of calipers, but for the price I dont know how you can beat it.

Ive no experience with any other caliper, so note that, but overall, Ive found this one to be quite accurate, pretty simple to use, and well worth the money (and not really that expensive if you compare it to other brands). It does take a bit of fiddling when you are trying to set it for a certain length (e.g., for scoring a desired width to cut on a piece of metal), and one has to be aware of where one puts ones fingers, but these issues IMO are to be expected with something sensitive. I love the digital readout - plenty big for this glasses-needing guy - and the ability to choose/switch between millimeter, inch, and fractions is great. If you take care of it and mind what youre doing, I imagine Ill be using this caliper for the rest of my life, a battery change or three notwithstanding.
