Used for trumpet. My husband has used many brands during his 50 years playing trumpet. His favorite brand by far!

It’s the best oil for stainless steel valves, which are made mostly by Hoxon Gakki, and sold to some 30+ trumpet/brass manufacturers globally. Many of the small boutique trumpet makers, do not make their own valves, and use Hoxon valve sections, made in Taiwan. They are very good valves, and the tolerances are much better than many of the American valves. Stainless is a much harder material than monel, or nickel. Hoxon Gakki is the parent company of the CarolBrass brand of brass instruments.

My cornet valves where sluggish and sticky even when using Blue Juice valve oil. With this oil my valves are incredibly smooth. This stuff is specially formulated for monel valves. I highly recommend it!

I recently bought an intermediate trumpet directly from a Manufacturers Rep here in the U.S. Im in my upper-50s, and just a comeback player looking to enjoy playing the trumpet again after 30ish years. My previous trumpets were a student King model, and 2 Bach Strads — a Trumpet and a Flugelhorn. Within a few days I noticed the valves on the newly purchased trumpet were mediocre at best. As I noted in the headline they were both sluggish, and would require constant valve oil to keep them from sticking. I was getting quite frustrated with the horn, and was about to return it when I did some research (via trumpetherald dot com and trumpetmaster dot com primarily). I noticed quite a number of players - including some 20+ - 30 yr pros were raving about a number of specific valve: Ultra-Pure …..Hetman’s ….Al Case ….Blue Juice ….and La Tromba T2. There were a few others as well, but those were the 5 that seemed to be emphasized the most. I noodled on the options, and ran with opting to try the La Tromba T2 valve oil. The bottle arrived today, and after thoroughly cleaning the horn and applying a fairly generous amount of this oil —— I absolutely couldn’t believe the total night & day difference in the way the valves behaved. There is simply NO COMPARISON. This valve oil is amazing!! NOTE: I’m not a spokesman, or in any way paid or associated with this brand of valve oil. I just took a few minutes to share my experience in the hopes that it could possibly help another person in a similar situation.

I have a Van Laar trumpet and some other valve oils were not working. This oil was recommended and my valves have been perfect. Couldnt be happier.

I like this stuff. Its kind of expensive, but worth it. I wasted a lot when I left the cap off and the bottle fell over. It didnt leave a mess because I guess it evaporated.

By far the best valve oil for trumpet. After 40 years of experience, this is hands down the best I have used. Never stick again and faster than ever.
