Lasko Oscillating Tower Fan, Remote Control, 3 Speeds, for Bedroom, Kitchen, Office, 36, Black, 2511

Small footprint, good power, seems durable and reliable. I’ve had the first one for a while and very happy with it. Just bought one more and I think I may buy even a couple more because they’re easy to talk in here and there and sometimes all you need is a little air circulation. We live in New Jersey. The humidity gets high, putting air conditioners in and out of windows is a cumbersome process and I hate to give up the windows. I foster a number of cats and I need to keep them comfortable. They seem very safe for the cats.

This fan is very weak. The noise is significant for such a weak air flow. This is fine for a gentle breeze, but not more. I was looking for an oscillating fan to blow strongly on laundry line-drying indoors in high humidity, so as to prevent mildew smell which my apartment seems to be prone to. I am returning the fan and getting an industrial fan used by contractors to dry indoor wall paint. A V*rn*do would probably be OK but their models are mostly non-oscillating, and Ive lost my confidence in the regular-home-use fans after buying and returning another desk fan and also feeling the fans on display in appliance stores. At an appliance store I was told that, because the materials used now are so inferior, the fans simply could not withstand a stronger motor that would generate more air flow. 15 years ago I discarded a cheap desk fan made probably 25 years ago that was 4 to 5 times heavier than what they weight now and produced a much stronger air flow; I recommend looking for the old fans, if possible. Packing this up for return was surprisingly difficult; things have to fit just right otherwise you cannot close the box and the styrofoam pieces are asymmetrical. I highly recommend taking photos before or as you unpack, unless youre sure you will not be returning this.

The fan is almost noiseless. Convenient with the remote control. Good amount of air circulated

The only positive is that the fan is quiet the biggest downfall is that the highest setting barely blows out any airflow. Setting 3 is like setting 1

Update: I just got the remote For the other fan that has Bluetooth to work on my phone so everything is an A++ the fan is so quiet. I keep two in the living room and the round ones made so much noise so I got a standup round one, that made even more noise!!! So I thought I would try one of these hoping for the best. And jackpot!!! They are quiet they keep it cool. They have all great features for this fan and I couldn’t be happier!!! I bought one and then I had to buy another! I’m just so happy!!! I did buy the one with the Bluetooth remote but I haven’t been able to get that to work yet but other than that they are the best ever!!!

I don’t usually write reviews but I felt that I had to do this fan justice by writing one. IT’S THAT GOOD. I have central AC in my apartment (that I cannot control) so sometimes I need it to be a little cooler on those really hot days. This fan does just that! It blows cold air and really gives off a strong breeze on the highest level making the apartment the perfect temperature. I love the oscillating feature as well. I have this company’s heating tower and I also love that too! It heats up my entire apartment in no time! Another thing, I’ve read reviews that this fan was loud which made me almost not purchase it. I found this to not be true. Yes, it sounds like blowing air, but it not nearly as loud as the fans my parents had back in the early 90’s that would prevent you from sleeping or being able to hear anything around you. Also, the remote is small and cute, unlike another review I read. The remote stays hidden anyways so I don’t see that being an issue if you happen to receive a different remote. And no, batteries are not included but let’s be honest, does anything ever come with batteries?

I almost feel bad for those that claim to have received a lemon of a fan. This is my 2nd Lasko 36 tower fan and it works just as well as my 1st one thats many years old. The new one - the 2511 - has only been in use for a couple weeks thus far, but its quiet and moves enough air on low speed that I can feel the slight breeze at roughly 15ft away. Thats just on low. Turned up to high and with the fan standing in the entry way I can feel the air moving at the end of the hall which is probably 30ft away. No chattering during oscillation, either. The same thing can be said for my older Lasko 36 tower fan. I mean much older. Years and years older. Not a decade old, but at least 6 years; old enough to not be sure exactly when I got it. That one has gotten noisy on me, but a fillips screw driver to take off the back panel and an air compressor with an air nozzle to blow out any dust bunnies or cob webs usually made it run quietly again. If it still chattered it was due to the L-bracket which the top of the fan cylinder rides in (just a nub in a sleeve deal) wasnt quite aligned at a right angle. Squaring that off and adding a little bit of grease on the spinning parts made it run quietly once more. If I werent so tired Id go make a video clip of it operating to prove the 6 (or more) year old Lasko 36 tower fan still runs quietly, even while oscillating, I would, but for now ya folks will just have to take my word for it.

Use this fan in our room while were sleeping. the oscillation and speed settings are perfect. We dont utilize the timer as we like the fan on all night, but there are multiple timer options. It has a remote which is nice also. Helps my husband tune out the ringing in his ears from Tinnitus and provides a good ambiance for sleeping.
