LEGO Ideas 21301 Birds Model Kit

My grand-daughter loved these Lego birds. Her older brothers a Lego fans as well.

They look great. Like that there was a bit of a challenge to it.

This is a wonderfully different Lego set that should really appeal to adult enthusiasts. I got this as a holiday gift, and although I probably wouldnt have selected it for myself, I am now delighted to have it in my collection. Like the Architecture sets, these Birds are essentially for display, not play. Beautiful to set out in a special place at home, and conversation-starters if put out in your workspace. There are separate instruction books for each model, which contain not just the building steps but also some information about the bird itself. The assembly itself was interesting in that you are often adding pieces sideways (not brick on top of brick) so that the smooth sides of the brick are on the exposed edges. This was not a difficult model at all, each bird took me about 20 minutes to put together. The finished birds look delicate on their stands but are pretty sturdy if you handle with some care. I hope Lego brings out more sets with realistic birds and animals like this!
