> 24 hourMan! This was such an awesome build! I saw this in the Lego Store a couple months ago and thought, I would really love to have that. Birthday came along and Happy Birthday! I sat down with my two kids and we build the 5 lions in less than 2 hours. I then adjusted all the pieces and put together Voltron! I felt like a kid again for a moment! I remember watching Voltron as a kid and getting to share the new Voltron series with my kids and them helping me build this set was a great memory!

> 24 hourMy 12-year-old had never completed such a huge Lego set, but this was a fantastic first huge set to give him. Its a really big box, definitely Big Christmas Present material, and theres a huge ooh-ahh factor of the idea of building a giant robot. The kit really breaks it down into meaningful, manageable chunks of work, so you build the lions separately, and my son did one lion per day when he was working on it. The huge joy came when he got to put them all together to make Voltron, which is a pretty impressive robot. Hes too young to know who Voltron is, but it really doesnt matter; theres not a lot of explanation needed for a giant transforming robot. If I have any criticism of the set, its that it doesnt have a lot of the cool little features you see in some of the other expensive Lego sets, like in the castles or similar sets, e.g. drawbridges, trap doors, hinged secret compartments and passageways, etc. Its just 5 lions, 4 of which are very similar to one another, and then you put them together. Theres also not a lot to do with the robot once you get it assembled, unlike a lot of the kits that have mini figures and action scenes. But if your main goal (like my sons) is to simply have the joy of following the directions and putting together a huge construction, you honestly cant go wrong with this one.

> 24 hourLegos Ideas line has done it again. Voltron is great both as the robot, and as its component five lions. The instructions build the lions individually first. After all five lions are finished, the instructions take the builder step by step through the construction of the robot, complete with sword and shield. If youre a GenXer like me who grew up watching Voltron, you wont be disappointed., but you will probably have the cartoon running in your head the whole time youre putting Voltron together! Its expensive, but its worth it.

> 24 hourThis is the best lego set out there. Lego could have done a better job on the main wings, but overall this beats any Lego set available. Hold onto it if you already have it as they could be worth $1000s some day.
