I paid my own money for this product, money which I earned working my manual labor 40+ hour-a-week job. Im so happy I purchased this Levoit humidifier. Ive had two Levoit air purifiers (bedroom and living room) for a couple years, and theyre still humming along so I have an overall good impression of Levoit. I got REALLY tired of trying to clean my standard-type humidifier, one thats shaped like an offset clear bubble-thing. Its impossible to clean inside the weirdly shaped tank with a small hole, and no matter how I tried to position the tank it never fully air dried inside. I usually spill water everywhere trying to fill it because the hole is so small. Last time I cleaned it, I ended up just never using it again. Since youre supposed to clean them once a week, I just didnt want to deal with it. Why I like this one (in no particular order): - SO EASY TO FILL AND CLEAN. The top comes off and you pour the water in, so I can bring a pitcher from the kitchen into my bedroom and fill it without having to unplug the unit. And my weirdly-shaped humidifier had to be held while it was filling because there wasnt a way to set down the tank upside down, which was SUPER annoying. I love how easy and quick it is to fill this one without having to move the unit or spill water everywhere. The top tank comes off and the second level is where its vaporized. Every part is super easy to clean without contorting my hand (or just not being able to reach), and it air dries quickly and thoroughly. Its very well designed. - LOOKS MORE MATURE. Im not using this for a kids or babys room, and the standard clear-tank humidifier is so juvenile. I dont need a fancy smancy look (only my husband and I see the bedroom), but its just a nice bonus that this humidifier blends into my adult bedroom with a more class than clear and white plastic. Its got a minimalist, clean look with matte white finish that just looks a little more high end. - TURN OFF THE LIGHTS FEATURE. This was the holy grail feature for me. Im not looking for a nightlight, which most humidifiers proclaim to be a big bonus. We sleep odd hours because of working overnight shifts and have blackout curtains. Any small pinprick of light is really bright when its so dark in the room, and my husband swears he cant sleep unless its pitch black. I have electric tape over all the small lights on objects in our bedroom. Having a humidifier that turns off the lights is amazing and thoughtful and I LOVE IT. - QUIET AND WORKS GREAT, PLUS DIFFUSER OPTION. Ive been using it a few weeks and its quiet, powerful, and working great. I havent noticed moisture on anything or under the unit; the strong vapor stream comes out of the top and points diagonally away from the unit. I plan to use the diffuser feature at some point but havent yet. I like the fact that I have the option available though. Note: the directions specifically direct you to put the oil in the bottom section (the top section is the removable tank) and says it wont work if you put the oil in the top. Theres a valve at the bottom of the removable tank where the water goes down to be vaporized, so if you put oil in the top it just sits on top of the water and never gets to the vaporizer. I saw a couple reviews where the reviewer complained about the diffuser not working but I think its user error because it sounds like they dumped oil on top in the tank.

Best humidifier I have had yet. Normally, I only keep humidifiers for a season because theyre too difficult to clean and sterilize. This Levoit model is super easy to disassemble and wipe down. Because its all white, you can see every bit of grime/mold so youll know if its clean or dirty immediately. Its also incredibly quiet.

This unit easily filled our bedroom (which is 10 x 10 or so) with moist cool air. This really helped to relieve the problems my wife was having coughing at night due to the lack of moisture in the air. Also, the base allows easy adding of essence oils that add a nice aroma to the mist. Distilled water is recommended in the directions, but filtered water works fine. I think this item was priced in the 30 dollar range which is good value for the money.

I bought this based on reviews. Its an easy setup and has a very large capacity not to mention its completely silent when running. The output is fantastic...the mist thats discharged is about 18 inches. I would recommend this item to anyone thats looking for a humidifier/ aroma diffuser that actually is worth the money.

I am going to try and figure out how to get it to not leave a white film on everything. I even tried distilled water

This humidifier genuinely looks nice in your space, my girlfriend commented on it unprompted. It is nice and simple but not plain if that makes sense. The white is very sleek. It is very easy to clean unlike most humidifiers. It is very quiet. Top fill is a lifesaver. My two complaints are that the lowest output setting is not as low as other ones which is kind of a problem when I leave it on a hot day, I would like to let it run but it is a little too much output. That is not terrible thoufh and certainly not a deal breaker. The other thing is there is a float in the base that is a little tough to clean under, so be sure to remember to get under there. The brush is comes with is very useful and the sponge filter things are helpful too. Use filtered or distilled water. The design also helps me clean it better, I have depression and this model can be sprayed generously with Lysol and rinsed off after sitting for a bit and that is a great intermediate between a more intensive washing (do those at least once a month please!) and not touching it at all, which is what I did with my last bottom fill one which is obviously very unhealthy. Overall highly recommend, would buy again no question.

This is a very simple machine. For a very inexpensive price. However, it is worth what I paid for sure. The humidifier is strong and silent and it completely replaced my scent diffuser because you can actually dump the oil into the base of the machine. When I walk into my room it smells amazing and its the perfect humidity. If youre looking for a great humidifier for a great price the offers the option to completely replace your scent diffuser this is it!

I mostly got this because my old humidifier was dirty inside and couldnt be cleaned. This one is easy to fill without having to lug it to the sink. I am have been using filtered water and its staying clean. I like that it holds 3 liters of water so I only have to fill it once a day.
