> 24 hourGreat product for a fair price. Great for expanding the ports at your computer. Works at 1000 and 100 mbps.

> 24 hourGreat product for extending your wired system…you do lose a little bandwidth, but still better if Wi-Fi isn’t strong

> 24 hourThe switch works great. I get my full internet speed without any issues. (This is with multiple devices connected to the switch.) I am able to do file transfers from my workstation to my Ubuntu server running a samba share at full gigabit speed with no issues. I bought this as an extension to my network since my 10 gigabit switch had all its ports filled and connected this to devices that dont need anywhere near a 10 gig link to my servers. Up time is great I havent had to reboot it since it was installed 4 months ago. While I wish it had a management console like my Cisco gear this is a home grade switch and at this price point It makes sense that its plug and play and thats it. (This means vlans and other switching features on the switch are out of the question.) Its also metal and feels pretty well built.

> 24 hourThis switch replaced a very old but still functioning Linksys 10/100 switch that was plugged into my new gigabyte 4 port router. The slower switch was slowing down the router ports so I decided to upgrade the switch to the same speed switch. I plugged my slower devices into the switch, an Ooma telephone system and a Cisco power line adapter that feeds a wireless access point for my 3 Roku streaming video units. The SE3005 has automatic priority for streaming devices (good) but did not recognize the power line connection as streaming and slowed down all my Rokus to the same speed as my Ooma internet telephone (not good). I switched the power line adapter back to the main router and the problem went away.

> 24 hourBought from Amazon. Hooked up the unit, connected a cable to each ports, all the ports, except port 2 did not light up. Called Linkys @ 1-877-855-6899, option Small/Medium Business Department. After getting preliminary information on the switch, we walked through and tested the unit over the phone. Linksys determined a replacement unit will be sent. All was handled in that one phone call. Representatives I spoke with were courteous, genuinely understood my needs and strived to resolve. Hope you will not have any issues with your unit; however, if you do, outlined above was my experience.

> 24 hourOver the years of our home network building, we never got around to purchasing a router with more than four ports. That became problematic when we evolved into two primary desktop computers, two printers and a few notebook computers, not to mention a television that prefers CAT6 cable to wireless if we want to watch uninterrupted streaming TV. Enough was enough. I went looking for an 8-port somewhat managed switch for a good price. The Linksys came up on the radar and i pushed the buy button. It arrived, I plugged it in, it worked flawlessly. Port shortage problem solved for about $50. Weve always had good luck with Linksys products. Im glad I purchased this one. It couldnt have been simpler to connect. Take it out of the box, attach the power supply plug - connect one regular port from your router to a port on the switch using a network cable, turn on the power to the switch - ready to go. Just connect additional devices to one of the 7 extra ports now available. No issues at all.
