> 24 hourIf this were a more durable mouse, I would say its perfect. Left-handed people (particularly those with small hands) have a hard time finding mice, and this one is fantastic due to the size and the fact that there are side buttons on each side of the left and right clicks that all work (they are not just mirrored). I have bought 4 of them now, just about 1 per year. The left-click consistently dies on me. I use this mouse for work and casual gaming. If I could find anything else that fit my hand as well I think I would switch so as not to keep spending $20 a year and adding to the problem of e-waste. But so far, this is the best Ive found.

> 24 hourWhen I bought the mouse, the shape looked normal-ish, and I though it was priced reasonably. But... I miss my non-ambidextrous mouse. My other mouse is just a bit wider at the bottom right and the whole palm is contoured to fit a tad better. That little detail matters for comfort more than I expected. The extra width on my old mouse, when I wrap my around it, makes a big difference; there is a natural spot for the ring finger and pinky to lie. This mouse, just feels a little awkward, without that spot, I feel like Im dragging my pinky on my desk, almost always. Also, I bought this mouse thinking I could just change the LEDs to red, and match my keyboard, not realizing the potency of the blue bottom. Overall, the mouse doesnt really look good in any other LED color than the default cyan.

> 24 hourI was skeptical of the buttons at first, but because I have so many troubles trying to press buttons on the SIDE of a mouse, I figured Id try this. Its a little tricky to get the hang off but after a while Ive been doing just fine. Definitely an improvement in my in game performance. The mouse itself is NOT weighted (like Im used to) which I cant say I really like, however its tolerable. Ive dropped this thing from couch to floor about six different times (it keeps sliding off my mouse pad next to me) and it still works with no issues. Theres no beating an optical mouse when it comes to gaming. The design of this mouse is odd to me but not unpleasant. Its very comfortable for my hands. The cord is extremely long however, and since Im using a laptop this was an annoyance. I rolled some of it up and tied it together with a twisty tie and problem solved. The only thing (besides weight) I would prefer with this mouse is that the software for it be included in the package. Its not. I have to find it online and download it and with my internet thats a bit of a task. For the price, it wouldnt kill them to include a disk or at least SOME instruction as to where to find the software. Unless I missed it, there was no booklet or anything on the box that tells you where it is. Been using it for a week or so now and its been great. Color options on the mouse are nice as well.

> 24 hourI have been using this mouse for years and have had to replace it more than I would have liked. I always have a backup, because with no warning, it will simply conk out. I am NOT left handed, or even ambidextrous, and really cant do much except push the mouse buttons and scroll with my left hand. So the buttons being on top is brilliant when gaming. I just happen to have gotten into the habit from day one of using my left hand for my mouse, so my right hand was free to take notes or to write things down. This is the only mouse for me, and I hope I can always find one when I need it!

> 24 hourI have been using this mouse for a few months now. I had to stop because I was getting wrist pain. The problem is the placement of the side buttons G4 and G6. In order to use them you have to lift and bend your fingers a lot to get to them. By default, G4 is the back button for browsing so it gets used a lot. I have since switched to the G502 and my wrist has stopped hurting. If you do buy this mouse, I strongly recommend that you only map commands to G4 and G6 that are seldom used.

> 24 hourAs a left hander, its hard to find a good mouse. Having reprogrammable buttons in a symmetrical layout is a god send. Which is why I keep a stock of these in my closet to replace the ones that wear out every couple years and buy more when they go on sale because I dread the day when Logitech stops making them. I do have to take some points off because the rubber grips on the side where you place your thumb tend to wear through after a couple months. They also hide the screws to disassemble the mouse under the friction pads so youll have to peel them off if you need to clean or fix anything.

> 24 hourSo when gaming I mouse with my left hand and when my Razer Taipan (Ambidextrous) started acting up after years of loyal service, I thought I would given something new a try. The issue I always had with the Razer was that regardless of which hand you use, 2 of buttons are on the pinky side and really got in the way more than they helped. This mouse with all buttons on top gives access to every button regardless of hand being used. Right off the bat, the quality of the build and the material being used is nothing close to the Razer, however the build on this mouse is consistent with a $20ish dollar mouse. No much weight, thin non reinforced chord, more plasticy feel. I am still getting used to the button layout. I like having access to all 4 buttons accessible, but I miss the intuitive availability of buttons I can press with thumb. I am also having to get used to the smaller size of the mouse altogether and find it can cramp my hand. The software suite installs easy enough and gives you good control over the button map, colors, sensitivity. Overall it seems to track well and buttons respond accurately. Its not a bad mouse for the money, but I think I am just used to a more quality unit and will probably return to something higher end.

> 24 hourGoing along with the many positive reviews about the G300ss advantages, Ill agree it is a good buy for a bit over $20. It functions as it should and seems to be built well. Id forgotten I had this mouse until recently when I discovered it in a junk box of computer stuff. What--looks unused and its a Logitech . . . ? So I hooked it up and pretty soon I remembered why I tossed it in storage. The left and right sides of the G300s mirror each other, so there are twin buttons on either top front corner; this means that my middle finger rests not only on the right click button but also against one of those top corner buttons. Unintended clicks occurred immediately. So I had to download and install Logitechs less-than-stellar software in order to turn off the problematic buttons. The thing is, although Im a righty, I cant imagine a lefty with similarly sized hands would be able to avoid the opposite version of this problem. Like many mouse manufacturers, Logitech is prone to sticking extra buttons anywhere as a misguided marketing ploy. In conclusion: ambidextrous, great; button layout, atrocious.

> 24 hourIve been using an HP 1500 wired mouse for over 10 years. Was about to order the same model (they sell it here on Amazon) when I saw this mouse. Since it has the same basic shape and is wired (hate messing with batteries at the most inoppourtune time in a game) I ordered it after a little research. I like everything about the mouse except the software you need to download to change button features. Some reviews and the Logitech site said GHub works. It didnt on my 64 bit Windows 7. Digging further, I found that the the older software version, Logitech Gaming Software, worked. I was able to change the features I wanted. The problem is that installing this software and its drivers killed my Logitech joystick. Since I created a restore point prior to installing the software, I just used Windows System Restore to unistall the software and drivers. Thankfully, I had selected to save the changed features onto the mouses internal memory so all the changes I made were still there. So if I want to change features in the future, Ill have to create a restore point, install LGS, make my changes, save to mouse memory, then uninstall LGA via system restore.
