Very short strap, I was hoping to use this as a travel knitting bag but its not big enough for more than two skeins of yarn if you want to put your project in. Its sturdy and cute but its the size of a hand bag.

This was a gift for my mom and she loves it. All her stuff fit in it with lots of room to spare. She can put the rolls of yarn shes using for a certain project in there and carry it with her very comfortably.

I ordered this as a gift for Christmas for my daughter who loves to crochet and has a lot of yarn. I ordered the large bag I do admit its a bit smaller than I anticipated; however it has a lot of room non the less. The bag is made of sturdy and quality material. There are plenty of comartments for hooks and others items. This product definitely deserves 5 stars.
