I wanted to wait before I made a review on this board....or as thoroughly as I could, and since its been a few months, I think its about time to do a review. Okay. This board was my first downhill board. Ive rode it not only down a few hills, but also to commute back and forth when I was working. At first, I thought that the mixture of bamboo, carbon fiber, and fiberglass made the board too flexy for me, but after not riding it for a few months, their wasnt as much flex as I thought. There is flex, but because of the mixture of carbon fiber and fiberglass counteracting it, it oddly makes it perfect to bomb down hills and do some deep carving. I compared it with the arbor longboard and love riding the Magneto Longboard more because of the W concave and how its helped me feel where my feet are on the board and how to keep my balance when pushing, how I dont have to move my feet that much, and how perfect the distance between the trucks and my feet were [I dont like having my feet under the trucks. It makes it very unstable and uncomfortable when Im riding and pushing.] I had to change the trucks and wheels to Caliber 44 degree trucks and shark wheels since they trucks were too high to my liking, and since where I live, it rains and has a lot of roads that have small rocks dirt and stuff, I wanted to be more safe and the road [as safe as I can be anyway]. To anyone who wants to buy the magneto board, I would say buy it. You can still ride it down hills with or without changing the set up, but if you really want to rip down hills and not worry about speed wobbles, then you might need to either change the hardware or change the bushings to riptide or venom bushings. All in all, awesome longboard and I would buy it again if I needed to buy another one.

My husband has not been on a skateboard for 30+ years. We took this to the park and he did great no issues at all. The only disappointment was the wheels looked orange in the picture and when we got the board they were red.

I was a little worried about how the board would handle my weight since I am 210 lbs. But it handles great! And it goes on forever. It’ll keep me rolling on even a slight incline without pushing. And I love the large wheels cracks, small twigs, and pebbles are no issue. I am new to longboarding and can’t tell you about the specifics and technical stuff, but it works for me.

Im new to longboarding and Ive only had it for a week now but so far so good. At 220 pounds I was a bit worried about it holding my weight but it seems to be fine, no real flex in the board. A few skater friends said the bushings seemed a bit loose and when I tried to tighten them they popped out from under the washers, so I bought some yellow Nipple bushings and they seem to be fine. Ill update as I use the board more. Edit: 7/30/2017 Im down to 197 lbs and loving this board. Still keeping the 5 stars but its worth noting the trucks need to be tightened down a lot when you get it. I skated for a month before I realized my mistake and you can feel the difference. Also if the board gets wet youre going to need to re-tighten things when it dries.

Update (5/21/17) After a month of using this board, I really feel like its the best cruising board I have. Its really stable and it grabs my feet well. I can go over some pretty big cracks and bumps without it suddenly changing direction (which is really important because I ride with my right foot towards the back) The stock wheels and bearing are still smooth. Occasionally, I have to tighten the truck mounting screws. Magneto Bamboo Longboard (not the carbon one) This is a great board for cruising around trails and exploring the town. Its rock solid, not too bouncy, and very very stable while providing a decently tight turn radius. It gives a bit if you bounce one it - but my 180lbs doesnt bend it more than an inch. It feels nearly unbreakable. I dont think Ill be replacing the trucks/wheels with anything, the stock ones are very very nice. Im impressed at the quality of this board -- its beautiful to look at and it rides like a cloud. If I turn the board hard, the turning radius doesnt allow me to completely do a u-turn on my residential USA street...Its close, but I always end up in the shoulder and in the grass.

This is a killer board and it’s actually a really good setup for the price, I’ve seen some reviews of people getting a lemon here and there but the one I got has made me pretty happy so far and I have no complaints other than I’m no longboard dancer and it’s weird to have that much deck space but that’s what I got it for, something new to try. It’s a good board to see if you aren’t sure and the kids will love it because they can all fit haha

Nice board for the price. I love the shape and size. Exactly what I was hoping for.

I turned 45 last month, and Ive always been intrigued by longboarding. So I pulled the trigger after I found this company. Im glad I did! Beautifully built longboard, that was fun right out of the box. Magneto Boards are built to look good as you can see, and so far Id say they are also built to be sturdy. Im 61 190lbs and the Hana Pintail feels like its solid under me. I may stiffen up the trucks when Im ready for bigger hills, but on flats and little declines, its ready to go right away. 5 of 5 would recommend... highly recommend. Ill buy more from Magneto as they have boards in stock!

Im a 49 year old guy and I dont have any kids. So I decided to teach my red heeler (Bailey) to skateboard. This board is perfect for that. Bailey likes the grip tape. Too much fun can scuff her paws though, so I always suggest that your dog wear protective booties-- if your pets show an interest in skateboarding. I thought I was too old to skateboard, but shes let me borrow it a few times. Super smooth ride. Also, when Bailey wears a harness, I will let her pull me through a grass field on this. These wheels go over grass and bumps no problems. I think off-road, dog-pulled skateboarding should become a thing. This thing is a lot of fun. Its fast and its probably not a good first board, but its pretty great if you want to ride on just about any surface.
