Marshall Emberton Bluetooth Portable Speaker - Black

> 3 dayI love splurging on Bluetooth speakers that, in all honesty, I probably don’t need. I’ve had the JBL Charge & Xtreme, Harman Kardon Onyx, Bose Soundlink, UE Boom, Wonderboom, etc. I basically have a closet full of unused speakers at this point. I guess I’ve been searching for something I’ve never found… until this. Let me make this easy: If you’re looking for a portable speaker that sounds better than speakers 4x its size and is small enough that you can chuck it in any bag — look no further. The soundstage rivals anything I’ve heard from a Bluetooth device — that is to say, inherently limited by the Bluetooth technology, but about as good as you can possibly get. Unlike JBL / Bose / UE speakers, it sounds remarkably accurate, effortlessly reproducing a clear, authentic soundstage. It’s fairly neutral throughout most of its range, only starting to get the slightest bit muddy at the absolute highest of volumes. Mids are consistent throughout, and vocals sound clear and fantastic. Put it in the middle of a ~400-sq. ft room and you’ll be blown away. Build quality? It feels practically bulletproof. I’ve abused this thing to all hell over the 6 months I’ve owned it, and aside from a tiny piece of the Marshall logo coming off, it looks and feels brand new. I recently discovered that rubber sleeve around it comes off(!) for easy cleaning, if you’re into that sort of thing. The battery life is staggering. They rate it at 20 hours, but I’ve been getting 25+ at medium volume. I use it for about 1-2 hours per day and go almost an entire month without charging it. I’d pay double what they charge for this thing.

> 3 dayThis is an amazing speaker! I use it throughout my home, and visitors wonder if I have surround-sound speakers. When I show them that the music is coming out of this tiny speaker, they can’t believe it! It’s small, but has a surprising heft (weight), and a very sturdy construction. This isn’t some tinny, flimsy, plastic thing. It’s metal, has a rubbery covering around it, and most importantly AMAZING sound quality. Plenty of bass, and great balance. It’s also very easy to pair with my iPhone. Turn on Bluetooth, and look for the name “Emerson” (no idea why it’s called that), and click. A few moments later, you’ll hear a BUM-BUM (a bit like the “Law & Order” sound), and it’s connected.

> 3 dayHonestly impressed and have been for months. Great battery, water resistant, USB C. It does color the sound, especially so at the max two or three volume settings. It is not an unpleasant color to the sound, and I would expect any speaker this size to not sound entirely natural. I’ve recommended it to anyone who’s asked about it.

> 3 dayOK so I wanted a speaker unlike any what others have. I can set it down & people know its mine. As for battery life I have yet to run it long enough to kill the battery

> 3 dayThis speaker is the best. I’ve never had a speaker with 360 sound system. It is loud and has great base. I use all the time. It’s so easy to connect and it’s such a nice speaker. Never going back to Bose again. Marshall is where it’s at!

> 3 dayGreat sounding little speaker. Don’t expect to fill a large area with sound but does sound great on the patio or deck. Putting it close to a wall allows the sound to direct better. Would recommend for a nice personal speaker.
