Maxi-Cosi Zelia² 5-in-1 Modular Travel System, Midnight Black

I always wanted to buy maxi cosi system after my sister in law used it with her child. I got a chance to do that with my 3 baby. She is 6 months now, I practically use the stroller and car seat daily. My opinion is now more negative about the ease of use of the whole system. First, car seat is hard to get of base, the belts are hard to pull, need some muscle. It is a disaster to place the seat on top of adapters, forget about taking the seat of adapters.. Second, the stroller wheels started making noise, it’s difficult to push stroller to rock the baby, wheels never go straight, I have to use muscle again. Other small thing like stroller handle moving back and forth on top.. I guess that is ok. And ye, it’s starches very easy. I am upset that I could have bought graco for cheaper and have less headache, disappointing.

We’ve really enjoyed this set. It’s a great stroller and car seat. Super easy to use and seems comfy for our baby.

I normally don’t write reviews but I feel this this can help out any future parents in there decision to purchase a travel system. As a first time mom there where tons of options to choose from, I was looking for something with a more modern look but nothing too expensive either. I looked in to the top brands like Cybex, Nuna, Uppababy and was astonished at the prices however it was my mistake that I didn’t look in to safety/convenience/comfort features these brands equally share. Of course when you see a travel system over $1,000 you think that is pure luxury. I read many reviews on the Maxi Cosi travel system and it seemed like I made a good choice. I decided to buy it half way through pregnancy so I had a couple months to go before actually using it and determine if I would keep it. Once baby was born, I was astonished on how deep she falls into the car seat as if it was a pit. Her small head has no support whatsoever with the infant insert which mind you only supports the “head” there is no extra cushion for the torso/buttocks area. My baby was 5.6 lbs full term and she was so uncomfortable. I kept being positive thinking once she gains some pounds and grows in length it will be better. Well I was wrong, 2 months in and she is still falling in to the same pit with her head side ways and her hands falling in. My friend had a baby 2 weeks ago weighing 8.5 lbs and even her baby sinks in as well. Also the material gets super hot even by just strolling outside with the canopy extended. If you decide to purchase this travel system buy it at the last minute so you can at least be able to return it and get your money back. I now have to keep something I’m not able to use, even after reaching out to amazon. I ended up buying another travel system (Cybex cloud G Lux and Gazelle S stroller) wow what a difference, I ended up spending more money now then if I would’ve originally bought a top brand travel system & if you don’t believe me then go to a store that sells various travel systems and just compare for yourself.

So the build quality is nice and everything. I was super excited to use this stroller. Spent around an hour trying to assemble it for the first time. It is not straight forward but you’ll get through.

So I’ve been trying out this stroller for about almost 3 months and the top of the car seat shade snapped in half as I was pulling it to cover my baby, the stroller it’s self is very flimsy the wheels look like they’re about to come off, when you put on the car seat to the base it’s still flimsy, and even on the stroller it’s flimsy is doesn’t feel secure I know there was a recall but I’m still waiting to see if my manufacturing date is one of them because I’ve seen reviews on maxi cosi and there’s no way mine is the same as other maxi cosi branded strollers

I was worried to buy this, after not seeing many reviews. I think this is perfect, especially for the price! the material of the car seat is really soft. The blue color isn’t as bright as it is on Amazon. No complaints!

Only down side is that you have to push two buttons on the side of the car seat to remove it from the stroller. Other then that everything else was super easy to use. My son loves being in his seat. Would buy again.
