This is about as perfect of a pack as you can get. All the assets of a Maxpedition tactical bag, but looks normal on the outside. I was worried it would be too big, but it is no bigger than a standard backpack you would have for college or EDC. It is worth the price, I will have this for the rest of my life.

Not big enough to fit clothes for a week long vacation. Good enough as a range backpack or as 1 or 2 day getaway. Its definitely smaller than youd think

Perfect size for my needs. I can fit both of my laptops and their chargers in the laptop pouch. One 15” work laptop and one 16” personal laptop. Plenty of room in the main compartment for the rest of my needs. Side pockets hold a 32 ounce Nalgene bottle.

Love it. I had a maxpedition briefcase for many years, finally purchased this for my laptop. Very happy, well organized.

Great low profile bag with all the Maxpedition quality and features you expect.

The material was very stiff and the zippers were not smith to operate. The shape of the pack was odd. When the side pockets were packed the water bottle pockets were rendered unusable because an average size bottle wouldn’t fit.

Zipper is rough, I prefer YKK zippers but its not going to break anytime soon. The waterbottle pouches are a bit tight for a Nalgene but if you dont pack the bag to its gills theyre fine. Laptop pocket is extremely padded on the sides but could have better padding on the bottom. Overall build quality is fantastic, very tough bag with great grab handles.

I traded in my Maxpedition sling bag for a less tactical look with the Elite 27. The downside is I miss the modular accessability. The shoulder strap mounted pouches are truly dorky looking. There are interior and exterior side zip pockets as well as side bottle pockets but if you fill the interior zip pockets the exterior ones can hold very little and water bottles do not fit. But Im sure the pack holds 27l of ping-pong balls somehow!

Made very well and though tout as all Maxpedition gear is, I own other products.
