This is the newest adapter of its kind since this review was written. I have tried others like it, but there were always issues. The most common issues with Wii to HDMI adapters come in the form of audio that sounds awful during gameplay involving multiple sound effects, or very distracting scanlines on your TV. This adapter is the only one where I had none of these issues in any way, and its smaller! Currently, Wii to HDMI adapters are in high demand because of upscaling technologies like the MClassic and MCable. I bought this product because I heard from other people that its compatible with the MClassic. Unfortunately, it did not work with my MClassic. Its important to note that I did not try to use any other devices to get it to work with the MClassic. What people will not tell you is that you may need some type of splitter or device that can repeat the signal to make it a strong 480p before using it with the MClassic. Despite registering as 480p on your TV or Monitor, the MClassic doesnt detect it very well coming directly from the adapter. So if youre okay with spending a little extra money to achieve a higher resolution for your Wii, I would consider this product a must-have since it takes up little space.

Worked as expected. No issues with video or sound. Allowed my daughter to revisit using our Wii and the Just Dance games with her friends.

Much better quality than the other wii2hdmi adapters. The other ones give you faint diagonal interference lines when in 480p mode. None here!

It’s too bad because I was hoping this would work. I have a brand new Samsung television, and even with the highest grade of HDMI cable it cut out and was unusable.

Did not see much of a difference after installing.

Bought this after checking reviews on similar devices. I had a different convertor and it was ok, but not great. This convertor makes the Wii look it did with an analog TV, which was pretty good. Try it..youll like it...

for refrence the output is still 720p (thats what the wii was built to output, cant do more without mods) so while the title is a tad misleading, it still converts the wii weird av thingy to hdmi perfectly with no problems. Nice and small too, good for tight spaces

Since most newer TVs dont have old school RGB or RYW audio and video inputs my old Wii sat idle for a long time. Only recently think about some of the older games and how my granddaughter might enjoy them like my (now grown) kids did. The Mayflash Wii to HDMI 1080p converter was inexpensive and did exactly what I had hoped it would do. The Wii now proudly sits along side my XBox and PS4 and displays beautifully on my 65 Samsung. My granddaughter and I have already enjoyed several Lego Wii games as well as Wi Fit for my wife and I. This is a no-brainer for anyone wanting to adapt old Wii tech to newer TVs.
