Nice tool but using it to resize rings will scrape off the numbers.

This is an impressive mandrel. It is heavyweight and has etched size markings for long-lasting use. I looked quite a while for a stainless steel mandrel before deciding on this one. I am quite happy with my purchase.

This works very well and is accurate when I compare it to my other gauges. I have not had issues with it marring metal surfaces. It is nice and heavy and well made.

This mandrel is a great tool for shaping and sizing rings. It is solid steel, not hollow like many others. Its heavy and can hold up to ring shaping. If youre a silver or gold smith, I would recommend this mandrel.
