While this PC has its uses, it also has a few limitations. The design should be modified to allow for an internal 2.5 hard drive to start, as this will allow you to attach the drive in a secure fashion instead of hanging it from a USB cable. While one may want to swap the memory, it is not a typical desire in this type of usage case. This is a fast little box that just needs a monitor/TV, keyboard, mouse, network connection, and power to do many different dedicated jobs. Is it a full blown desktop replacement? No, but it can browse the web in a pinch. Is it a server? No, but it can run Home Assistant, VPN, NTP, and PiHole.

I bought the MeLE Quieter3Q (N5105 processor, 8GB RAM and 128 GB eMMC drive) to control my astrophotography gear: telescope mount, 12v power distribution box/USB hub, DSLR camera and guide camera. I installed N.I.N.A., PHD2, Stellarium, Sharp Cap, several ASCOM drivers and an application to control the power distribution box/USB hub.

Using this MeLE as a low-noise, daily computer for web browsing and cloud-based information management, Ive thus far found it to be hefty and responsive enough to drive two large monitors. It replaced my Intel NUC i7 system so I could deploy that for resource-intensive photo editing, etc.

After I checked out the windows version installed on it I powered it off opened it up installed an nvme drive I had laying around and set up OMV on it… using it as a nas and utilizing the 4 usb3 drives attached is great. May run a little hot depending on what you’re doing… but stick some heat sinks on top and or bottom and it’ll be just fine.

This has been a great addition to run my home automation and services. I keep loading it with more services but the new CPU just keeps taking the load!

From the moment this box arrived, it has been my main PC for the office. Golden silence! 20 watts! ( could be 30 watts at times. If you live with limited watts you want this Fanless-PC.

I have a few 3D printers and use this to run multiple instances of Octoprint to control and monitor them. I also have three webcams attached - one for each printer. Its mounted in a 3D printed case with a compact touchscreen monitor. Works great for my application, and I did not have to get a bunch of Pis - which are hard to come by right now.

This works great for hosting dedicated game servers on and even web servers or use as a workstation. Dont expect lots of snappy performance but there is enough to browse the web, watch movies, YouTube, etc.

I use this via Windows Remote Desktop Connection to control a telescope, mount, and camera for astrophotography. Its 12V power and draws few amps compared to a notebook or laptop. I can run this all night along with the aforementioned peripherals with a small 293Wh battery.
