> 3 dayAlthough they look and feel thinner than the same brand I have purchased before, they do what they need to do. Perhaps less waste and better for theenvironment.

Greater than one weekSince we decided to ditch coffee pods (plastic overload) and went back to fresh coffee, we also went with unbleached filters instead of the metal one. Love the Melitta filters. They dont collapse or interfere with the taste of coffee.

> 3 dayIts a coffee filter. Does what I need it to do. Sometimes though I leave the old grounds and filter in overnight and when I go to the it out, it sticks and old coffee goes on the floor. My bad.

Greater than one weekNo matter what the makers say, I find that using only the wire basket that comes with drip coffee usually results in some fine grounds at the bottom of the carafe. These paper filters solve that problem (but I have to admit that usually Im only brewing 8 cups in a 12-cup machine; if I were using it at maximum capacity there is a risk that it might overflow, according to the manufacturer).
