Mens Hair Pomade by American Crew, Medium Hold with High Shine, 3 Oz (Pack of 2)

I used Redken Water Wax for the longest time until they discontinued it! I then had to try and find a product that was similar. This was difficult because most pomades were heavy and didn’t make make my hair look “piecey”. This product did exactly that AND so much cheaper than Redken!

It is a great pomade and the only pomade my husband uses.

Been using this for years. It doesnt get gummy when reworking, and smells ok. Wish I could find something I like this much that isnt so costly, but this really has no competition from what Ive seen for my fine textured hair. I mix it with Kristin Ess pomade when I need more hold and that works well too, while cutting the cost.

Ive been experimenting with the various American Crew products, trying to find something that works best for my hair, and became interested in this after seeing it labeled as having the highest hold and shine ratings of the entire line. While the product itself works alright, for my hair type at least (thick, fine, and straight) it was definitely not high hold. Id describe it more as a medium to medium-light hold with medium shine. I think its similar to the regular American Crew Pomade, although possibly with slightly less hold overall. On the plus side, its definitely easy to work with and the water-based formula doesnt leave a sticky or waxy residue thats hard to wash out. For anyone looking for products with a higher degree of hold, Id recommend trying the Forming Cream (medium shine) or Grooming Cream (high shine), which have both worked well for me in the past.

I am 80 and have frizzy thining hair. This product does a good job. I put a little on my hand,wet my hands, and rub my scalp. Hair stays in place and not matted down. Product last a long time.

I’ve bought this product from different places and received a variety of different colors and consistency, everything from a translucent white color that’s fairly thick to a petroleum jelly color and consistency. I don’t know what this stuff is supposed to look like and maybe there are just a lot of counterfeits out there but i’ve never really gotten a hold that lasts for more than a few hours. Switching to a styling paste or molding wax.

I brought this for my boyfriend who has fine hair and two stubborn cowlicks. It goes on easily, looks good, washes out easily, gives him a well groomed squared away look all day (his job requires being out in the elements and in peoples homes so he needs to look professional)

I just received this yesterday last minute before I was going to work and my hair was tow-up. This stuff fixed that super quick! Its not a cream or a gel, but rather a waxy feeling to it. Its solid clear as seen in the photos and you get what you pay for. I got sick of using those ICE spiker products for turning into hard glue afterwards, then found this. At least with this you can still run your fingers through your hair!.. And yes, you can STILL style it to your liking. (Even when dry!) Some people say its got a musky smell to it... DUDE, YOURE A MAN! MEN ARE MUSKY! This smells like a total mans product! To me it just smells really clean and really manly. Its pretty stiff for a pomade, just dont overdo it on dry hair. If you want that wavy, messed or styled up kind of hairdo..Then this is for you. I used a little extra for that maximum hold and my hair STILL hasnt budged even a 10 hour shift. I can still run my hands through my hair too! Its not hard at all. Im ordering a lot more when I get my second delivery. I need to make sure its the same product. Careful of fakes. Ill call and raise HELL on Amazon if its a fake. This ones authentic though so you should be cool. And one more thing... DAMN IT AMAZON!!! IT TAKES FOREVER FOR YOU PEOPLE TO DELIVER A HAIR PRODUCT?! SERIOUSLY. Expect to WAIT a week for this product. IT SAYS TWO DAY SHIPPING WITH PRIME, BUT ITS DECEPTIVE ADVERTISING. IT DOES NOT TAKE TWO DAYS, IT TAKES 7 DAYS. PLEASE CALL AMAZON TO LET THEM KNOW ITS DECEPTIVE MARKETING. Im giving Amazon 1 Star for delivery & 5 for the product.
