Great tuner. Able to easily match my end fed for use between 75-10 meters.

Item shipped and arrived as scheduled, but product was defective and I have returned it for refund. Bought it to replace an MFJ-949 tuner than died (balun burned up). New, defective tuner would not tune existing antenna on any bands. Adjustments of inductor nor either capacitor had any effect on any band. Either the built-in SWR meter is bad or, more likely, the tuner itself.

Versatile tuner can work with any antenna. Does not need external power (unless you want the adapter for the light) A little over ten inches wide and 3 inches high. Has selector for two coax antennas and can be switched to tuned or bypass. also has connection for external dummy load. I needed to download and print the instructions from the MFJ website at www.mfjenterprises.com/manuals

Just a little large but and excellent piece of equipment,, Used immediately and it worked without any cause for concern,,, Tuned a short end fed wire on a 9-1, un-un perfectly the first time,,,

Pros: Very effective antenna system tuning- gets me 1.1:1 on every frequency and radio. Decent quality- not top of the line, but good Accurate, calibrated meters Cons: Meters are simply too small and graduations are very silly, making readability challenging 12v lamp for meter is horribly yellow and dated looking. I immediately changed mine out in favor of a diffused white LED. Switches are stiff and do not have a positive click. Not a big deal but radio still receives when changing to coax 2, dummy load, etc- should have better isolation at this price. Overall a good value that serves 3 purposes well. Simply increasing the height and size of the meter would be the obvious manufacturing improvement that would make this the perfect product.

It will tune most bands. Meter is hard to read on tx. Still having to adjust it a lot each time I use it.

Great tuner. Using it on my IC-718 with a G5RV antenna. Tunes great except in the 10 meter band. SWR is 2 at lowest. 20/40/80 tune flat on SWR.

It takes a couple of minutes to get it calibrated but it is not difficult if you follow the proper procedure. Usually an acceptable SWR is close without even keying the mic and the carrier is only used to fine tune to its lowest point. Dont expect it to solve big antenna issues (using a metal broom handle on 20 meters) but it will resolve many out of band SWR issues. Remember that it is simply fooling and protecting the transceiver but not actually solving the antenna mismatch.
