MFJ-941E MFJ941E MFJ Enterprises Original HF Antenna Tuner with Mini Cross Meter, 300 Watts

This is a nice antenna tuner that must have missed the QC step or it was made late Friday afternoon. The box has a switch to connect the transmitter to a 50 ohm dummy load or various antennas. The switch has two dummy load position. One of them ( the tuner in line position) did not work even after repeated switch flips . Minor point but the antenna switch is uncomfortably hard to throw. MFJ can do better than this. Im going to get another one but check it out thoroughly...possible take the cover off and give it a good visual and ohm check before I harm my Transmitter.

Item shipped and arrived as scheduled, but product was defective and I have returned it for refund. Bought it to replace an MFJ-949 tuner than died (balun burned up). New, defective tuner would not tune existing antenna on any bands. Adjustments of inductor nor either capacitor had any effect on any band. Either the built-in SWR meter is bad or, more likely, the tuner itself.

Very easy to install and use . I love the cross needle SWR And POWER meters when transmitting constant displays reading. KN4BHS

I have a compromised location, so I have the antennas I can have, not what I really wanted. This antenna tuner allows me to work on all the bands and it does this well. Unit arrived well packaged - everything included. Checked tightness control knobs and shafts.....all looks good.

I bought it in the hopes that come spring, and the snow is gone, Ill also get to put up my 80 to 10 meter antenna bought through Amazon. The antenna along with the tuner should prove to be a welcome addition to my shortwave radio shack.

works beautiful on vertical antennas, able to most often get 1.2 or less. Forward power sometime falls below 100 but better than blowing my finals.
