These came in a small box and I wasn’t very hopeful BUT they are very sturdy and strong! I bought them for my work cubicle and I hang documents, keys, and they will even hold my headphones. I’d buy them again.

I love how strong the magnets are and how easily the hooks swivel. These are handy, well built items.

What I noticed with this magnet was that it gets better attraction strenght if attached to a higher iron content base if the iron base was thicker the better and stronger was the magnetism (it can possibly achieve the lbs. test it was claiming for pull and slide down strenght) - simply put if it was attaching to a thin metal sheet it got magnetisn but not as strong as what it was rated for but attach it to a thicker metal sheet or bar and i would suggest the slide-off rather than pull off method to remove. The swivels were good but the hook can easily detach if getting pulled from the sides (good thing it is a swivel-thay may need oiling every few months to reduce wear and tear ) and this can possibly scratch a painted surface since it will be magnet to metal direct contact w/o surface protection sheilding (that could reduce the magnetic attraction).

Strong hold but some things dont hang on hook real well because the hook is not curved very deep

We use the magnetic hooks around our Body Shop. They hold everything from clipboards, jackets and parts.

Bought these for a cruise and they wouldn’t support the weight of a dry towel

The magnets are super strong, I had to slide them apart to separate them from each other. This is a good thing, as once they snapped on to my stove hood each is able to support my heavy duty oven mits and pot holders and other paraphernalia that I hang over the stove. My old magnets would fall off if I put too much pressure on them; very irritating and often caused mits to get charred on a hot stove element. The pivot of the hook is a nice convenience, I don’t have to pay close attention to the angle of the hook when I place it on the hood, so if I am multi-tasking on the stove top I am still able to hang things up.
