Milwaukee 2278-20 M12 12:1 Infrared Temp-Gun

Used this to take discharge air temps on AC equipment and it works well. It’s a bit more bulky than the average fluke meter but knowing I can recharge or swap the battery when needed was the selling point for me.

Perfect for using when working on your hot rod at your house. of course professional mechanics can also use this. M12 platform.

I use it for HVAC works great on non shiny objects!! Have to rap cooper pipes with black tape to get accurate reading.

Very accurate and heavy duty. Works good with refrigeration.

Milwaukee knocked it out of the park again. This temp gun makes my life as an HVAC tech so much easier. If you do commercial HVAC service or startup, you need this.

If using this to get a temp reading on air it can take some getting use to as you need to angle it different to try and get the correct temperature. I use this for automotive and can be irritating trying to get the vent temp for heat and a/c. If using it on an exhaust manifold or something without moving air it works great (DPF, SCR, turbo outlet, intake temp, a/c line, radiator and CAC)

Nit a lot to say about a thermometer. It takes Temps and is pretty accurate

what is the point of having a readability of 0.1 degrees when the accuracy is only + or -2 degrees C (3 degrees F) It is meaningless. The fluke is much better. + or - 1 degree or 1% whichever is greater.
