06-04-2025I was able to pair this plug to my SmartThings hub when placed in close proximity. However, once I placed it in my backyard there was no connectivity. I then added 2 z-wave smart plugs nearby to act as repeaters, and connection was very spotty. Id say on/off commands would register only 20% of the time. On/off status was incorrect most of the time too. I placed an Enlighten/GE outdoor z-wave plug in the same location, and have no issues. Im sending the Minoston back

> 3 dayI am using the newer series 700 Silicon Labs hub with Home Assistant, and this device allowed me to reliably connect to my pool house about 100 feet away through 2 walls. Had it out in very heavy rains and so far no issues with water.

> 3 dayThe unit integrates seamlessly with Home Assistant and Z-wave. Convenient monitoring of power consumption and line voltage right within Home Assistant. Mine performs perfectly inside the house, but due to having aluminum siding and metallic low-E windows, the signal from my Z-wave dongle doesnt reach the outside location very well. This is not a shortcoming of the unit; just be sure to have a good path thats not shielded for RF. It is a very capable switch as long as it gets a good signal from your Z-wave hub.

> 3 dayThe product added into my VERA controller fine with using Generic Zwave Device. Shows as urn:schemas-upnp-org:device:BinaryLight:1 . Since my VERA is already synced with Alexa showed up there and can control with my 3 Alexa Show 8s. Cheaper the GE outdoor unit and has worked flawlessly out in the weather.

> 3 dayUsed with Smartthings hub. Paired with no issues. Used to turn on and off christmas lights outside. No water issues shorting out. I did mount so where lights plugged in was facing down so water would not get it.

Greater than one weekI had a fairly easy time setting this up in SmartThings using the QR code provided with the unit. In SmartThings, I can see it as an outlet, and I can see the cumulative electricity used. In Google Home, I can only see it as an outlet that I can turn off or on. I dont see where the company that manufactures the unit has any app with additional features or information. So I think its just the information you get though whichever Z-wave home hub you use. But its staying connected and doing what I want it to do (which is tell me how much power my outdoor plug-in hybrid car outlet is using so I know my cost per mile).

> 3 dayI purchased these to use with my Hubitat system. They work well once you get them to bind to the system, but are a royal pain to get the system to recognize them. Once they bind however they work fine. The power measurement capability of these work nice as well. You are able to read the line voltage as well as the power being consumed by the devices plugged in. I would definately buy these again.
