The marketing materials they put with this online make this full spectrum lighting seem like a godsend. It does function as lighting and it functions to provide a light source when coupled with a timer. That is exactly as it was advertised to do. However, my Avian Vet from the University has stated that I need a UV light. Ill have to buy a second light to provide the purpose that this one was originally going to do.

As advertised but unfortunately cant use it with our African grey because she is terrified of it and everything we have tried to get her used to it wont work at all. But it works as advertised

I like the like being full spectrum for the birds..felt it was a bit pricey... but it is a great product and u get what u pay for

I was skeptical on how I was gonna get it to the top of her cage because of the cages play top having a tray on top of the grate but It didnt get in the way at all and still sits flat. As soon as I put it in and turned it on, my parrot instantly calmed. She attempted to bite it once during install and was very curious about the metal ties but once I got it on there and turned it on, she seemed really happy. It seems she enjoys time in her cage now more than out. I also ordered a smart strip with this to automate on and off hours to when I get up in the morning and when we go to bed. This is perfect, please get this for your feathered friends!

So far so good!! Just what I wanted. Put them on timers and no worries...I have an amazon and an african gray they were curious for about 15 minutes and now they do not even notice.

Very easy to install and brightens up my cockatiels cage really nicely. I installed on the inside of the cage because she has a prevue playtop cage. She is a lot more chatty and whistles a lot when the light is on. I purchased a tlink kasa socket to control the light with. Allows you to use as a timer or just a light switch from anywhere you have wifi.

The need of the timer was not explained properly. The mounting brackets do not fit all cage types, I had to use other types of affixing the light to my cage. Im happy with the light but more options for mounting needs to be offered.
