MMOBIEL Digitizer Compatible with iPad Air (Black) 9.7 Inch Touchscreen Front Display Assembly Incl Tool kit

Vorweg erst einmal, das hier ist nur der Digitizer, also quasi die Glasscheibe vor dem Bildschirm. Ich habe das zweimal verbaut, da das iPad Air leider noch einmal hingefallen ist. Den Digitizer kann eigentlich jeder mit beiliegender Beschreibung oder den Anleitungen auf iFixit austauschen. Man braucht allerdings einen Fön oder eine Heissluftpistole, damit sich der Kleber der Originalscheibe löst. Beim finalen Einbau des neuen Digitizers vorher den darunter liegenden Bildschirm mit etwas Alkohol und Mikrofasertuch fusselfrei reinigen. Das war aber unkomplizierter als ich dachte. Das Austauschen klappt auch ganz gut, selbst wenn der Original-Digitizer gebrochen ist (Bruchstellen einfach abkleben). Passform und Funktion des neuen sind einwandfrei, konnte keinen Unterschied feststellen. Auf dem Digitizer sind Klebestreifen, die leider nicht sehr gut kleben. Zumindest bei mir nicht, trotz Alkoholvorreinigung. Ich musste da ein wenig mit Pattex Repair Kleber nachhelfen. Sekundenkleber ist nicht so klasse, eher spröde und vor allem doof, wenn das auf den Bildschirm oder das Glas kommt. Leider löst sich der Schirm stellenweise wieder. Nach ein oder zwei Tagen also prüfen und ggf. gaaaanz vorsichtig mit dem beiliegenden Saugnapf anheben und etwas Papier mit anhaftenden Kleber durch den Spalt führen. Danach zwischen zwei Bücher legen, etwas beschweren, einen Tag warten - Perfekt und hält sei einem Jahr :) Werkzeug liegt bei, das reicht auch. Es hilft, wenn man den Schraubenzieher vorab mit einem Magneten magnetisieren kann, da die Schrauben doch sehr klein sind.

Auch ohne Vorkenntnisse habe ich mein Ipad reparieren können. Alles ist auch noch einige Zeit später an seinem Platz. Die Klebestreifen könnten besser sein. Da kann man aber bestimmt gut mit einem weiteren Kleber nachhelfen.

I was expecting a reliable and long-lasting replacement part, and instead, I have been left with a faulty product that needs to be replaced or repaired at my own expense. I strongly advise potential customers to be cautious when considering purchasing this product. While it may seem like a good deal at first glance, it is clear that it is not up to the standards that it claims to be. I would strongly suggest looking for alternative replacement parts that are more reliable and will not let you down after just a few weeks of use.

Works perfect

Ive fixed dozens of iPads (check my other reviews for more detail, tips and tricks) and I really like this screen. All of the parts are pre-attached in the right place, including the necessary adhesive strips. The metal pry tools are very good, though the screwdrivers are pretty dainty and easy to damage. Theyre fine for one repair but if youre going to do more than one you owe it to yourself to spend the $10 for a good set. This screen even set into the iPad exactly as the original, which is a nice change from most, which stick up 1/2mm or more above where they should. Highly recommended from an experienced DIYer.

5 stars for cost. I might have to update this review after the adhesive finishes the job but, for $20 bucks compared to the $100 these ifixit places want to charge, I feel pretty damn satisfied. At best I may have to find a better glue. Guaranteed Ill still keep around $80 dollars difference. This is my second cracked screen repair. Ifixit did it 1st and damaged it!! I had ifixit repair it once and now that I looked inside myself to do my own repair and Ive discovered damaged and missing screws from them!!!! DO IT YOURSELF and it wasnt hard with a 10-minute video from youtube that told me all I needed to know and I dont even have a heat gun! I used an iron but BE CAREFUL!! Just heat the EDGES ONLY WITH A TOWEL IN BETWEEN the iron and the screen edge.

First time installing aftermarket digitizer. Hardest part was safely removing old broken digitizer. Once that was done install was piece of cake! Included all tools necessary, except heat gun.
