The MNN Portable Monitor is so colorful and vibrant once it’s paired up with a device of your choosing. I’ve used it with my Nintendo switch and my laptop and haven’t run into any problems. The default settings are already great, but I turned up the brightness a bit for the best clarity. Video games are very responsive and crystal clear. I’m enjoying it thus far, looking forward to a 4k variant for my current gen consoles. The screen size is large, the included foldable stand is handy and sturdy. Audio is clear and loud. And you can connect headphones if you desire, it’s perfect for work and play.

I use it as a cheap display for my server Mac. I can normally get along with no display, but having one to use can be nice. The quality of the display is not terribly high, but it is fantastically high considering the cost. Unfortunately, I lost the manual that came with it and the company did not readily release it for me. It took a couple of weeks and they wanted to have the original amazon order info. I complained rather loudly, and wrote a poor review for support. Im happy to report that they have now sent a good PDF of the manual to me and all is well.

After having tried smaller - lighter dual screens that attach to each side of my laptop - I found the quality was just not there - seemed a bit of a light weight - even a bit cheap. This unit is SOLID and the picture quality is just as good as my standard 24 monitor(s) I use on my tower system. The downside is the weight of the unit (Portable Monitor M156F01); however, both my 15 Lenovo laptop and this monitor fit in my backpack - just a bit heavier - yet still manageable. Overall - If the screen is as good as I think it is - I will probably sell my tower and 2 standard monitors and use my laptop and this screen as both my primary and portable system. Overall - my initial impression is very positive with the quality and the price, which was over $100 less than comparable screens.

I purchased this laptop monitor specifically for all my zoom meetings. Before it was very hard to share my screen and still have necessary spreadsheets in the background for reference and/or trying to monitor the chat while presenting. Now, I am able to do both. It is very easy to use, great screen quality, and portable. I highly recommend this monitor.

Bought this for a trip to extend my monitors and it was perfect. Carried it on my carry on smaller bag and was able to set up easily with the included cables that were compatible with my laptop. Would highly recommend as posed to a bulky monitor. I also use when I want to work from my back patio and don’t want to move my larger monitors. Great buy!

Pros - great budget monitor. Matches the screen size of my laptop so I really feel like Im getting the full effect. Portability factor is huge since I work out-of-town and need something not to big/heavy to carry with me--this was perfect for that. Picture is great, speakers are loud and work well. All cables and plug/brick are provided so you dont need to buy anything extra unless you just want/need a longer cable for convenience. Also comes with a magnetic case/stand so that you can set your monitor up on a table top--very easy to use. Cons - only con is that my USB-C port was not enough to both power and feed video to the monitor--therefore, I have to keep the monitor plugged in to the wall and then use the mini-HDMI cable to feed video to the monitor. So now, I have two wires running around just to have the monitor work. Its not a huge deal, but really more of a minor inconvenience. Summary - All-in-all, this is a great budget portable monitor. Excellent price (I caught it when it was on sale), picture quality is awesome, size is large enough for the money but still small and portable. I would recommend to anyone who needs a second monitor on a budget.

I use this monitor for when I am working while travelling away from home. It is very compact to pack, simple to connect with a USB cable (although USB A and HDMI cords also supplied), and the case doubles up as a stand. It gets it power from the laptop so no need for a separate power cord. Other reviewers have commented about lack of brightness, but I have found it to be adequate while outside in the shade. As an editor, I need a close approximation of picture quality and colors (even though Im not color grading with it)... and everyone needs it bright enough or whats the point? Out of the box and after initial settings, I didnt think it was bright enough and was ALMOST GOING TO RETURN IT ... BUT AFTER TESTING other settings I discovered these settings made all the difference: select BRIGHTNESS ->ECO -> MOVIE MODE. With MOVIE MODE and USER color settings (instead of cool or warm) the MNN best replicates my MACBOOK PRO M1 display. The other modes/configurations were simply not bright enough even though at 100%. So NOW I I can say that it seems fantastic. I purchased at 42% off - $116 - so a huge value for the price. I am considering getting another but I dont really need another - but thats how much I like it. I got the monitor stand Amazon said others were buying with it - and its great. Its the TriPro Tablet Stand -Portable Monitor Stand,4.72 for $24.99. THE ONLY ISSUE SO FAR: Turning it vertically with the TriPro stand (that the MNN recommends as well) means that the USB C cord barely clears the surface - which means the cord could push the monitor out of the stand. To avoid that, I am limited on the tilting. I want to have it more upright but have to have it at about a 20(?) degree angle in order for the cord to not get stuck. BUT I WILL RESEARCH a different USB C cord that doesnt protrude vertically. UPDATE: I got a new cord for $11 to clear the bottom when monitor is displayed vertically on lowest level of stand. I am accustomed to using 3 monitors at my office. I am transition to working at home with retirement and new job opportunities. I wanted a solution that was easily collapsed as my home office is also a sitting room with a view from another room. I ended up ordering these monitors for some of the team at work and realized it would be perfect for me too. It hooked up quickly, is easy to use and really helps my functionality while not messing with the view of the room.
