Nintendo 3DS slide pad dedicated expansion

I bought this to play mhgen, I was excited to be able to attach this and play comfortably. To my surprise it didnt fit, mind you I bought a 3ds but its known as a new nintendO 3ds which is slightly bigger than the one in the image with the sliding pad

Nothing wrong with the product, but you can get this accessory in Nintendos store for $20. Save the extra $15 and buy this from there.

Find it very useful for my new game Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate. Sadly it needs a AAA battery, but otherwise good.

I order three of these for Christmas: one for myself, one for my son, and one for my daughter. It turns out that my son has the latest 3DS model and didnt need this, and it isnt compatible with mine (its too small). It does fit on my daughters 3DS so at least it worked out with 1/3. This was likely my mistake for not knowing more details about the product before ordering and now I am stuck with two of these I cant use because by the time I ship them back for a refund, the money basically washes out. All in all it is a solid product and makes playing some of the newer games that rely on two joysticks on the 3DS much easier.

This piece of hardware makes playing Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate so much easier haha.

Very well used. Played it with monster hunter and etc and is use for the old original 3ds.

It makes your 3DS bulky and ugly, but its a great extension. The second slider feels the same as the one on the console and the additional buttons are great. If you put your 3DS to sleep, the accessory occasionally disconnects when you wake the console up. It works just fine after reconnecting. The quality is great coming straight from Nintendo. I would definitely recommend it for anyone not looking to upgrade to the New 3DS.

Its not the most comfortable attachment, but it works well enough for games that support it. Id recommend it for anyone wanting to try out Monster Hunter. Though, for anyone just looking for a grip attachment, Id recommend the Hori stand over this.
