Comparing against Thousand Year Door as thats the last Paper Mario game I played. My three favorite things from that game are not in this game - XP/levelling, actual usable partners, and a simplifies battle system. The battle system in this game is sometimes fun, but usually just annoying. I played about half the game hoping for an actual usable partners until I finally gave up hope. There is no levelling, so no actual point Im battling. Overall, the game just isnt very fun. Okay story, okay gameplay, but just so much worse than Thousand Year Door. Im beating it just to beat it...its quite boring.

I actually enjoyed this much more than Super Mario Odyssey, despite reviews generally favoring it over Origami King. I’ve never played any of the paper Mario series games, and this was my first, and I loved it! Also, not sure why this particular listing says that the game is in Spanish; I played it entirely in English, and the game case was also all in English. The only thing I did not like about this game is that the battles started getting really repetitive. Every now and then I enjoy the challenge of the logic puzzle involved in figuring the battles out, but sometimes it reminded me of how Pokémon would pop up too frequently in unavoidable grassy patches before you could use Repels. I digress. The graphics are SO adorable, and the story line is really cute too. There was a part where I even almost teared up because of how emotionally invested I got in these silly characters. It actually seemed pretty deep for a “kids” game sometimes. I ended up beating the game in about two weeks while working full time lol. I’m now tempted to go back and play the other games in the paper Mario series.

This is a Christmas present for a grandson so as far as happy with it I would need to ask him when he opens his present.

I bought this for my 11 year old son who seems to like it, he still plays it a year later.

Just t be clear, my sons system is set to English, therefore the game is in English. The only down side, delivery was a bit slow, 7 days for delivery from NY to Miami, but worth the saving.

I Bought this product on Amazon an it was great! Only thing I don’t like is how it has that weird green thing in the corner on the case
