> 24 hourI am not a big user of protective filters, as they do more damage to your image than good. But this was a sample, so I decided to try it out.

> 24 hourWith most lenses a general UV filter isnt needed, but I still like to use them to help protect the outer layers of the lens. This NiSi 62mm UHC UV Protection Filter is a perfect fit on my Pentax DA 18-135 WR. Ive used it for a few shots and I dont see any issues with color or distortion. So far Im liking this filter. The threads seem well made and there isnt a problem getting it on or off, yet when tightened it doesnt creep off either. A good value and well made product.

> 24 hourI’ve been very happy with this NiSi filter. I’ve been using it on a Sigma 105mm lens and it’s doing its job by keeping the front element protected without any reduction in image quality. Reflections don’t seem to be an issue either.

> 24 hourWhile even perfectly clear filters will lower the light your lens gets by a small fraction of an exposure stop, its not enough that you shouldnt protect your lenses with something like a UV filter.
