> 3 dayOrdered a new fan, got a used one. The screw mounting holes were stripped out. Fan works OK but had to improvise mounting in the case.

> 3 dayNoctua fans were always a hard sell for me…significantly more expensive than I was used to and I mean how much better could they really be? Well, they’re whisper quiet and despite having a significantly lower rated airflow than the popular brand fans they replaced, my case and rad temps are consistently lower at idle and load. What other hype is actually true? Should I paint my computer red and add neon to make it go faster? No regrets on this purchase.

> 3 dayNoctua Redux fans are the best fans you will find in their price range, and mostly any other price range for computer related fans. The color they come it, which is nice (two tones grey), is nice, but it would be nice to have them also in in all black and all white too. However, if you are looking for quality, air flow, and low noise, plus a 6 year warranty, get these. Other fans are no where near the build quality of these fans.

Greater than one weekWorks as described, PWM controls are great for making your own fan curve. I use this as an intake on my front panel. Silent effective operation at a solid price for Noctua reliability and quality.

Greater than one weekRead the headline, what more do you need? If you want new fans, you want Noctuas. They move air efficiently and quietly. You can put three of these in a case and can hardly even tell that they are spinning, but they are and boy do they spin good.

Greater than one weekPwm (4 pin) is great because you get to control the fan speed. At max speed (1200 rpms) they are a little noisy but not loud and are moving a lot of air. I feel that this is a good max without being excessive although I could see this max being slightly underwhelming. In which case you could opt for higher rpm limits.

Greater than one weekMoves a decent amount of airflow and is nearly silent to boot.

> 3 dayAt full speed, this fan is barely audible. Below about 600 RPM, its not audible at all. It moves a ton of air and punches above its RPM class. The gray coloration will turn some off, but better that than the usual poop-colored Noctuas, right?
