Noctua NF-S12B redux-1200, High Performance Cooling Fan, 3-Pin, 1200 RPM (120mm, Grey)

Moves plenty of air, keeps my stuff cool, and makes much less noise than the other fans I was using

Its a fan, so not much to say. It does what its supposed to without a lot of noise.

I have now bought 5 of these and I wont use anything else. As the title says they are extremely quiet. They do However move a lot of air. I have 4 mounted in my case and the fifth I used to replace the noisy Corsair fan on my CPU water cooler. To my surprise, the Noctua is not only quieter but my average resting CPU temp is 2 degrees cooler. Under load, it goes up to between 3 and 4 degrees. Fantastic fans at a bargain price!!

Just replaced my rear case exhaust fan (Corsair) with this (NF-S12B Redux-1200) and the system is quieter and runs a surprising 10 degrees cooler! Very pleased.

I wouldnt say that Im an expert on 120mm fans, but I have tried about 6 different kinds ranging from stock case fans to high end models. This fan is absolutely outstanding and I would not hesitate to buy another one. This fan is an excellent airflow fan for bringing air into the case or pushing it out. Be aware that this is Noctuas no frill line and doesnt include their usual gambit of accessories. Only the fan is included in the box without any adapters, extensions, or voltage changers. If you need a silent 120mm fan with impeccable build quality, looks (subjective), and airflow-- look no further. I HIGHLY recommend this fan to anyone looking for silent airflow for cases of any size.

Fans work great and pretty damb quiet.

This fan is not quite the same as the original NF-S12B, but its close enough. Its still ultra quiet and very reliable.

These come with such great add-ons. The extension cables and power dampener (spin slowing effect) cables can be mixed and matched with your existing cables (use these as the base, for instance). I daisy chained some door and top exhaust additions with no problem. They have been running for months now just fine.

I think this is a good fan, but its not perfect. As part of the redux line from Noctua, its got a more basic package. I think these fans are probably not the best value in the about $14 dollar or so range. But I was going with a gray & silver build so they are really nice. I think asthetically they look very nice. It does, due to its design, move air well through open spaces. I use Noctuas low noise adapter with this and it works well, and is very quiet at about 900RPM or so. At stock speed I think its a little loud, but thats just me and your mileage may vary. As with other Noctua fans, it makes a low pitched hum. In all, it works for me and I look forward to many years of service with it.
