I previously tried generic and wide-band LNAs, and this is 100% better. I was able to receive GOES satellite data using a *very* marginal dish (TV dish with cardboard and foil extensions). Would highly recommend this to anyone interested in amateur satellite projects.

Works very well for receiving L-band transmission from weather satellites. Although it draws a bit of current.

Opened it up and it looks like an iridium filter not a goes filter plus I can power it cause plugging in an sdr or antenna shuts it off.

my new nooelec sawbird+geos premium saw filter works great before i got it i could hardly make out the pictures from the satellite now that i hooked it up i get very good pictures so i would recomend this nooelec sawbird to anyone interested in receiving geos pictures.

Works great! I tried a general purpose amp but I couldnt get GOES 16. With this I get a very strong, stable signal.

Essential for receiving GOES HRIT data. Install immediately after antenna feed in correct orientation and make sure its powered (LED should be lit).

I was apprehensive about purchasing this device after being disappointed with the perfomance of Nooelecs Distlll-FM and Distill-AM filter products. However, I was impressed with this device when coupled with a small parabolic grid dish. In operation 24/7, this amp/antenna combo perform almost flawlessly with only a few errors (<10) occurring every day. The twin amplifiers provide adequate signal gain while the built-in filter attenuates nearby interference extremely well. Highly recommended for its intended application.

Solid LNA/Filter overall. Exceeds gain spec, around 35 dB. Noise figure of around 1.9 dB. Ive included measured gain from 1.6 GHz to 1.8 GHz. My only wish would be markings on the case for input and output ports. The input is the side with the micro USB port.

Absolutely necessary for HRPT, GOES (HRIT/LRIT), and virtually any other L band application in or near this range.
