I collect unique USB keys, and this was one in a line of wooden ones that I tried out. I have purchased enough USB keys online that turned out to be garbage that I test ALL of them the first day. Just note, this is a USB 2.0 drive and is slow in comparison to current versions. I am not a wood expert, but I would guess a solid pine and not a glue particle board, but strong enough to resist dents and keep its shape. The whole thing is polished finely with round corners that give it a sleek design. The key is held together with the cap by two sets of small magnets. The wooden box is a sort of clamshell system with an indentation in the middle that is perfect fit for the USB key, and the flap is held shut by a set of small magnets. However, there is an included eye-hoop that screws into the key directly, but if you use it, the key will no longer fit in the box. This combination is perfect to put on family photos or music and to give as a gift.

I would give this flashdrive a 5 or 4, but when I got it, it wouldnt let me rename or paste anything over. I tried changing the permissions, but it wouldnt allow me to. I almost thought all was lost. Until, I had to google how to restart a flashdrive that wont let you read/write onto it. So, I had to go into my laptop settings and erase everything (there was nothing on there) on the flashdrive in order for me to give it a fresh start. I was finally able to rename it and add what I wanted. But to know that it didnt work for a good ten minutes, made me a tad bit upset considering the amount of money I spent on it. Anyway, its good now. Just know that if you cant rename or put anything onto it, you have to erase the nothing thats on there...

I bought this to put some important documents on, for storage in a safe. I like having a little matching box — extra layer of physical protection, and looks so nice!

These USB sticks look good but are insufferably slow. It takes 10 hours to load 5GB of content. Not a good impression for clients either.
