I’ve tried different brands of activated charcoal pills and the NOW brand seems to be the most effective. It works within 30 minutes for an upset stomach. It also helps reduce bloat (I take at night before bed). It’s also great when you’ve had too much to drink and want to avoid the dreaded hangover the next day. The only reason I’m taking one star off is because the price ($14, even with the discount) is too expensive compared to other online stores (avg price $10ish for 200 capsules). I didn’t think anyone could beat Amazon prices so shop around!

Im taking charcoal occasionally for bloating from Celiac disease. This helps with those symptoms, as I only take two at night 3-4 hours after a meal.

Do you ever eat and afterwards, you get a bit of tummy ache...and youre worrying/wondering whether the food was unsafe or the meat was off? If thats you, these are a MUST have. The activated charcoal will bond with toxic, bad guys and carry them through your system. That feeling usually goes away within 20 minutes of taking the charcoal and unless youve ingested something really serious, it seems to take care of it. Make sure you drink enough water and also, be aware that you might have some black poo, but its just doing its job! We keep some in our medicine cabinet and always take it with when traveling.

When I received this product the jar was so blotted that it wouldn’t stand up on it’s own. When I removed the seal there was a loud pop. This product is not replaceable nor returnable. So I’m stuck with throwing it out for safety sake.
