NSI Industries TORK WFIP2 Smart Dual Plug - Indoor Standard Wi-Fi 3-Prong 2 Outlets Plug - Compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant - Remote Access with Smartphone/Tablet App - No Hub Required

This NSI Tork smart plug was easy to install and looked exactly as pictured. It can control 2 devices but right now we only have a lamp installed. Once we downloaded the app, It took 5 minutes to set up and link to Alexa. We already had the Alexa system but if you dont you will have to buy. I use it for a lamp and its as simple as Alexa, turn on living room light and it hasnt failed yet. Been about 1.5 weeks. I do notice there is a couple second delay but no big deal. I normally use it when I come into the house via voice, but its nice you can control remotely in case you need a light on when you are away from home.

I’ve tried a few of these WiFi outlets and this is definitely one of the better ones. It’s a pretty straightforward concept, plug in, pair, and configure to your liking. I had no issues with pairing and I got it to configured to some mood lights in our entertainment center. I’ve even been able to configure this with voice commands However the commands are pretty limited, mainly turn on and off. I’ve been unable to get it to dim. I would have loved the ability to integrate it with apple home app but I’ve been unable to. Overall, it’s a solid plug and works well with the apps it can configure to.

I assumed with a double socket, youd be able to assign each actual socket. To say, turn on the lamp but not the night time sound machine. Thats what I wanted it for. Unfortunately, its one button that controls the entire plug(both sockets) so Id need to find something where I know I want both items on together. I think its overly cumbersome for what it is. I have much smaller ones that I can assign things to and control independently. It was easy to set up but otherwise Id go with something else.

This is perfect for something like turning on and off two nightstands as this has two outlets. It also is three pronged, for devices that have a ground connection. This does require to setup an account under the Tork app. I was able to link it to my Google home and create a name to turn it on and off. Nice wifi outlet that doesnt take up very much room.

This plug is smarter than my house . It may also be smarter than me. Works with our kitchen and LR lights, but not others; works with our ceiling fans. Easy to plug in and set up. Next time I go smart anything electronic Ill call our son or grandnieces. I rate it a four.

I have had no issues with this NSi Industries TORK WFIP2 Smart Dual Plug, but I got it knowing what it could - and could not - do. This has two plugs that operate with one remote, so if youre looking for something where you can operate each plug separately, then youll need to look elsewhere at other products. This is perfect for items that you turn on and off simultaneously, such as two lamps in a room, etc. Its not intended to do anything more. You download their Tork app to get started, and you can use it with Google Home. Its super convenient for the times where you always use two items at the same time, and need them both to operate off or on as needed. I use it for two lamps that I always turn off and on at the same time, and it works every time. Again - not everyone with a Smart home will need this, so youll need to carefully consider if you have 2 items that you always want to operate at the same time. If not - keep looking. If so, this is an easy and simple solution for those of us that want to operate two things at once and dont need the plugs operating independently from each other.

Works great most of the time, softwear is just a little glitchy sometimes. Great for the $$s though.

BUYER BEWARE – This may not connect to your WIFI router. I have never had any problem connecting phones, tablets, TVs, computers and Amazon smart devices but this TORK Smart Dual Plug is a problem. Apparently, it will only connect if I go into the settings of my router and set it up to work at 2.4 GHz. And if I were to do that (which I cannot and will not do) then all of my existing devices would need to be reset. I counted and I have 14 devices using my router right now. What were these people thinking? Needless to say, it is going back. A few more comments: 1- The listing on Amazon should be changed to say it will only work on 2.4 GHz WIFI routers. 2- The instruction that came in the box were very confusing. Somewhat worthless. 3- The instructions on TORK’s web site are also of no value because they show a different plug that looks nothing like the Smart Dual Plug.

This thing is great and works as advertised. Setup was super easy, the instructions are a little light, but you dont need a whole lot. One bit of advice is it says to hold the button for 30 seconds to reset it and the light will blink. When I first turned it on the light was already blinking so I thought I was good. Not so much, I couldnt get it to recognize at first. It was blinking green only when I first turned it on. Once I held the button for 30 seconds the light flashed greed and red at the same time, and I was able to proceed and finish setting it up. The whole process took about 10 minutes including getting it out of the box, and 3 or 4 minutes of that was waiting on it to download and install a firmware update. The App works OK, I didnt/dont use it once setup is complete. It was easy to add to google and I can control it with google just fine. I did not try Alexa (sorry Amazon) but I expect it would be just as easy. Be aware that the two outlets are switched together. Thats exactly what I wanted, so just be aware of that. In my particular case I use it to turn off/on my AV receiver in the basement that loses sync with the TV every now and then. It works great for that. Being a piece of AV equipment I was a little worried about noise and if the device had enough power capacity. Turned out theres nothing to worry about. It handles a large AV receiver just fine and does not add any noise to the circuits. (Im super picky about that.) All in all its inexpensive and does what it says with no fuss. Thats a win. Oh the picture above is the device in the google home app. Dead simple.

The first thing you have to know going into this is that this is ONE remote outlet with two plugs. That is, it offers two places to plug in and control as one unit, and not independently like some multi-outlet WiFi plugs. I have a pair of plug in light fixtures above my living room book shelf that are the main lights for that room. In the past, I used a timer with an extension cord so that I could have two plugs (one for each fixture) coming out of the single outlet. With this, I can easily plug both fixtures directly into the smart plug which eliminates the mess of wires that used to be required behind the shelves. As long as you go into this knowing what it is (dual plugs attached to one remote control), I think you will be happy with the performance of this product. If you need two independently controlled outlets, this isnt the product for you. For me and my setup, it works well.
