I rated it low on for traveling because this is a large container. I would use a much smaller on for traveling. Otherwise, this is a great container.

Just a sharps recyclers. Although the lid was definitely its weak point. Still works fine

This works great for disposing of my large Trulicity pens. Lots of room and capacity.

This sharps container is handy for Diabetics with type 2 diabetes, and have to take insulin, Victoza or other medicines to control their disease. It also hold the lancets for the meter with a pen . It keeps them in a safe manner, since its puncture proof. It holds a large volume of used needles and is easy to seal and throw away unless you live in an area that prohibits tossing them in the trash and requires them to be recycled or incinerated.

Just what we needed for our dogs shots.

My wife and I are both diabetic and a large container like this is ideal at home. My wife goes through at least 6 needles a day and I only have the one lancet. So a large container like this is great. We found that a large container like this is kind of awkward while traveling not to mention that the bright red color advertises NEEDLES. Thats why I rated it a 3 for traveling. When we travel, we use the smaller containers that are easier to pack and hide in a suitcase. The hard plastic shell keeps the lancets from poking through and it takes a long time to fill it up (several months) so in the long run, it pays for itself.
