The steel wool is too fine for blocking cracks. Just tears apart, needs to be doubled or tripled to pack in holes. The gloves provided are just the white hospital gloves. Other products I have used have firmer wire and gloves that have thick rubber coating on the palm and wrist to protect hands.

Steel Wool for Mice Control

Steel wool worked against the rodents i wanted to keep out of my garage,

Got exactly what was pictured--the rolls of steel wool, a pair of scissors, and a basic pair of rubber gloves. We used it to fill some small holes in the wall to prevent rodents from getting in and it worked well for that purpose.

Rats cannot chew through this. I plugged a couple of holes and have t seen a rat since.
