I purchased this cutter because I was told it was one of, if not, the best. I received it on August 18. When I used it for the first time, it did not cut at all...even when I passed it 3-4 times on two layers of cotton.

I dont even know where to start. This product changed my life. I will never go back to scissors. This tool is accurate, well made, smooth and sharp. Be sure to use the lock when not using, your fingers and wrist will thank you. These blades are sharp!

Great control with this rotary cutter

I love this rotary cutter! I have held off writing a review until I gave it a fair chance at cutting and Im extremely impressed that its held onto my high opinion! I cut fabric everyday for my work and previously used the Fiskars rotary cutter. It wasnt until I started using the Olfa one that I realized just how amazing it is. Im used to firmly pressing the blade into just one layer of fabric with the Fiskars cutter but now, I have absolutely no problem cutting through 4 layers with no effort, whatsoever! Theres not even a cutting sound, its THAT smooth and precise. I use mine with the essential must-have cutting mat (again I have Fiskars, although still on the lookout) and a quilters ruler. Those three things make cutting fabric easy as pie! This cutter also feels a lot safer and secure to use as the blade retracts at the click of a button. I love it!

best thing about this is that the blade can be swapped over to use for left handed people as well as right handed people!
