I use it a lot at my job.

Nothing I can think of that I doni like. Best snap off blade knife on the market. Could not find anywhere local (So, Cal) Happy to make connection for trade.

The handle on this utility knife fits perfectly in the palm of ones hand and it grips very well. Far superior to the traditional style with a straight and flat casing. The black blades that come with the knife are nice and sharp as well.

Ive been using a utility knife to cut foam core boards for a project which wear out after a couple small cuts causing the foam to tear resulting in ugly edges. I would swap blades every couple passes. I came across this looking for something better and I gotta say this is a life saver. I still havent had to break off a blade yet as it is retaining its sharpness so well. With all the cutting I have done i would have used 10 utility blades by now, yet this initial blade is still flawlessly working. Will buy again... assuming these even start to dull eventually.

I use this daily and often and it is very much enjoyed. It sits in my hand perfectly with a great shape and weight. I have yet to damage myself, which is more than I can say for those silly minimalist things.

My stand by Olfa having finally disintegrated after years of hard use left me shopping for a replacement. This is simply an excellent day-to-day utility knife. Ergonomic, easy to grip and use even when wearing heavier gloves, and the improved blade advancement and lock is just another step forward for Olfa. I recommend this knife for light to medium utility work and strongly suggest pairing it with the UltraSharp black blades.

I got this OLFA XA-1 after my beloved OLFA SVR-2 9mm Stainless Steel Auto-Lock Utility Knife was confiscated by an airport officer. I took the blade out and thought it was good enough. But officer insisted on confiscating it anyways on the basis of it still looked like a knife and made a (threatening) clicking noise. I got this model because it was cheaper replacement and would be a little less painful if I stupidly take this to an airport again or if it decided to walk away from me. Actually, this model is much more comfortable to use. Because the handle is larger and more ergonomic its much easier to hold. Sure, its plastic and not as attractive as all stainless steel SVR-2 but it has stainless steel blade channel so it should be as durable and more practical. The only downside it is a bit bulkier. update: Dec 18, 2013 well, this thing decided to walk away from me after 3 months and now i have to get another knife. but now the price has almost doubled and price difference is only $1 with SVR-2, i may pick up the svr-2 again. XA-1 was more practical knife but svr-2 just looked nicer and made me more proud using it. i dont understand why the price on amazon changes so much so fast though.
