Works great for window tinting. This is what the pros use. Im a DYI guy but I needed a better blade.

Excellent I think best I have ever used and I cut a lot of vinyl and window tint. Nt cutter is a close second but after trying this I will be ordering a few more. great construction and feels great in your hand or pocket. A+++++++

Great old reliable tool

Nice little utility snap off knife. The one downside is that this model does NOT come with an auto lock mechanism. While I mostly just use the knife for light duty crafting, it definitely would give me more confidence during use. If the auto-lock is something you care about, personally I would recommend look into the similar model, OLFA Silver SVR-2. The Silver model also has a slightly longer body, which can hide the tip of a new blade in a bit deeper than this model.

I needed this knife for a project I was working on. I knew of this knife because I used one for 30 years at a newspaper I worked at for paste up. I still have my old one, but I couldnt remember where I had it and I needed this to work on a DIY miniature house kit, so I purchased this one. Way work the money as the blade locks in place and is so easy to use and replacing the blade is a snap!

Been using Olfa cutters for years and years - needed a new one, bought this SVR-1 since it said they auto-lock - meaning when you extend the blade, then press the tip of the blade into something, it shouldnt retract - these do. The auto-lock should prevent the blade from being pushed back into the handle. These, the SVR-1, slide right back into the handle with little effort. If you need/want the auto-lock, the SVR-2 is the one you need. This is still a great knife, but the info listed for this item is incorrect. AND, if you want a super sharp knife, ditch the silver blades and get the black ones - theyre a lot sharper and last much longer, too.
