I have some Wyze outdoor rated cameras but I like the extra protection provided by these hoods. The hoods are easy to mount after you have your camera installed. They are easy to mount and keep the elements off the cameras. They are ideal for the small cube cams but might not be big enough for the longer barrel cams.

Covers your camera, top and sides. But, it could be a bit deeper. Larger cameras wont be covered. It is made from heavy plastic and mounting surface is padded.

These are large but they do feel a bit sturdy. I was not expecting to size to be as large as it is. That being said, I do like that my camera is now protected from the glare of the sim and the water droplets from the rain. I know that my outdoor cameras should be waterproof but that does not mean that they rain does not make the camera lens dirty and blurry. These covers are necessary and I am very glad that I got them. Now whenever I go on vacation, I can get clear pictures and video from my camera because they are now well protected from the elements.

This is a roomy weather shield that will protect anything from UV, rain, snow, hail, or anything else flying around. I use it to shield a “waterproof” L5-30R generator outlet, even though the outlet is stated to be waterproof. It readily mounts to any surface, (four screw points) against which its rubber gasket seals. It is made of a sturdy plastic but, in my case, it is not likely to be subject to abuse. For me, an inexpensive shield that adds to my peace of mind.

Works as described

This shield is great. It’s light weight one piece molded ABS plastic that’s very sturdy, durable, weather resistant, and paintable. There is a gasket on the wall side and only takes 4 screws (included) to mount it. It has a molded in gutter around the entire shield and drains down the wall so no water runs off in front of your camera. This shield works with many different brands of cameras, weather transmitters, or anything else you can think of to put under these shields. They provide a 1-year warranty which includes free parts replacement and lifetime technical support. Very simple, very easy. I got this to put my weather transmitters under to keep them out of the weather (ironic). 5 stars all the way!

Just what I needed to protect an exposed camera and its the perfect size

I got this universal shield to protect my outdoor camera but repurposed it to protect the spotlight on a seasonal display. You can see from the side how well it covers the spotlight. Grooves along the lower portion channel water away from the electronic device. It’s made of sturdy material and with pre drilled holes and enclosed screws and anchors so mounting it on a wall will be easy. I’ll be getting another one to protect my camera. But this one I’ll keep for protecting the lighting on my seasonal displays all year round. Highly recommend.

Unable to protect during strong downpour. This is something to consider when purchasing this device. Overall I think this product is worthless. Im considering replacing my outdoor cameras more suitable for the harsh winter weather. The product is sturdy and well made, the 3 ⭐⭐⭐ rating is because it didnt protect my camera during a rain downpour
