Perfect for racing sims. Not so much for flight sims such as elite dangerous or other type of gaming. That being said.. It is the best chair you can get for racing sims. However I dont see why it has to cost 500 dollars though. 250 or 300 is a much more reasonable price. Its very heavy when put together.

Very well built. Arrived much faster than expected, that was quite pleasing. Most everything is well appointed although the unit could do with some channels for the cables and having the the steering wheel post in the very center is workable, albeit not the best placement for that due to pedal position. The adjustability is superb and am really enjoying the setup. Definitely would recommend to anyone new to the sim game as I am. For me, next upgrade will be a motion platform and wheel holder setup. For now though, this is going to provide me with many hours of exciting and fun game time!

Ive been eyeing a good simulator seat for a while now, pulled the trigger on this one at the beginning of April and I am GLAD I did. Firstly, the seller (HomeRacing), fulfilled my order much faster than anticipated - my original date range for delivery was the 14th through the 24th of April (ordered on the 2nd) but they had it shipped out by Monday the 5th and made it by the 9th. I actually missed the first delivery on the 8th because I wasnt expecting it and slept through FedEx at my door! The product itself does require a fair bit of assembly, but it comes with all of the tools and instructions you will need - wrenches, allen keys, etc. All of the various nuts, bolts, washers, and other hardware come in small bags that are clearly labeled as to where they should go. It may be a little overwhelming when you first open the box, but follow the instruction booklet and you should have it ready within a few hours. The only issue I had with assembly is that sometimes it isnt clear what order you should place washers on bolts, etc, but other than that it was a fairly easy assembly. Another small issue is with the set of rolling wheels that attach to the back of the seat frame, they could stand to be slightly larger in diameter to help the back rails clear the carpet when rolling the seat from my office where it is stored when not in use, to my living room where it is used in tandem with my VR play area. I say this not to complain, but just to offer a small critique on how the product could be improved. To me it is still well worth it. I purchased the flight sim configurations to come with it - namely config #1 and config #4 as well as the seat risers. It more or less matches the virtual seat I see when playing Elite: Dangerous in VR, and having a solid platform on which to mount my HOTAS makes a world of difference. The seat is comfortable and solid, and great for long play periods - as someone who struggles with back pain having this has made a difference! I will probably end up ordering the lumbar and neck pillows as well as the 4-point harness (not that I need it but it would add to immersion when flying). The frame is heavy but solid and it does not feel flimsy at all. Finally, a word to the versatility of this product - this is meant to be a one-stop solution to all your sim seat needs, whether youre looking for a commercial aviation setup, a stick jockey like myself, or a tires-to-the-pavement racer. Ive never played racing games before but now I am looking into getting a steering wheel and shifter setup to have with the original configuration. The plates and attachments are designed to be quickly removed and swapped out, so you can rapidly reconfigure from wheel-shifter-car pedals to stick-throttle-rudder pedals, so you can go from playing Forza or Grand Turismo to Elite: Dangerous, Ace Combat, or Microsoft Flight Sim within minutes. All together this product is well worth the money, its versatility will make it useful for many different games and it has solid construction that feels like it will last for years. Once I pay it off Im going to be looking to upgrade to additional controllers such as a VKB/Virpil flight stick as well as some racing controllers, but this product will make a great base for my future sim needs.

    Greater than one week

Made of high quality, one thing I noticed as a flaw however, the supporting bracket for the podium/steering wheel can interfere with the pedals. Thats why I gave it 1 less star.

After doing a TON of research and deliberation when buying my entry level iRacing setup, I chose to buy the OpenWheeler Gen3. I was looking for a solid starter rig at a decent price, as I didn’t want to sink a bunch of money into a professional level racing rig to start out. First of all, I will say that I am exceedingly impressed and happy with my purchase. While the OpenWheeler comes in at a relatively budget price, you definitely get an exceptional value. There are no structural issues (bending, flexing, etc.) or any other issues that seem common across reviews of other rigs. While I am only using a Logitech G29 and not an expensive wheel setup, I have confidence that the OpenWheeler would handle them if needed. Packaging and assembly were very nice, with clearly written and understandable directions (with proper grammar!). It comes with bolts and hardware for multiple Wheel/Pedal models from all the major brands as well as all the tools needed to put the rig together. I opted to get the optional lift kit to raise the seat off the ground, which is a must for anyone who does not want to sit directly on the floor as the seat would be VERY low without the kit. After using the OpenWheeler for a few weeks, I have nothing but amazing things to say. Everything is adjustable to get the exact position that is comfortable for you and easily adjusted for others. I am happy with my purchase and would definitely recommend to anyone looking to get a sim rig for racing of any caliber.

Very sturdy! Very well made.....and heavy! Bought additional add-ons as well they are the same. Now if only they would make an add-on with two powerful fans on each side to make my VR racing even more immersive. What I liked even better is how organized everything was and to my surprise included all tools necessary for assembly.

If you are on the fence, just pull the trigger. I cant say enough good things about this chair. Everything is modular so everything can be adjusted. Setup was beyond easy! Every single screw and bolt comes in a clearly labeled and secure package. Not to mention all the tools you need to setup are included, including the hex keys, open ended wrenches, and even comes with a high quality carrying case for the tools. The quality of the parts are far greater than the price point indicates, I feel like i stole it sometimes. The slider for the chair is smooth and allows for even greater customization. I use this with a DD wheel and load cell pedals, it is solid as a rock, no flex in the pedals or the wheel stand. You also dont need to over tighten the set screws, since there are multiple screws per adjustment. The center post can be a little difficult to get used to, but nothing that detracts from the experience. Overall, you cant go wrong.

Well made and functional. I mounted my Logitech G920 wheel, Logitech pedals, and added Logitech shifter and the setup was well worth the money.

I’ve been using this rig for a while now and it is amazing. It’s super sturdy for my Thrustmaster set up. Just wish the seat were able to be a lot higher with out having to buy extra hardware

Well built and very sturdy. Instructions were easy to follow and all tools need for construction (minus a straight slot screwdriver to pry a plug out) are included. Glad I bought!
