The height works great for me & it helps keep my laptop cool while I work. The metal has rubber & a lip at the end to keep it in place and secure.

Using this stand to properly hold a mighty laptop higher on the desk. Added benefit ... now I have more space underneath! Who knew ?! But really, this is a fine product, has nice rubber grippies to avoid sliding on the desk and has grippies to hold the laptop in place too. So, the whole setup does not move or slip around the desktop when typing. Genius.

Purchased for my home office. Love the gold tone & works as expected. Easy to put together & the perfect size for my at-home desk set-up. My desk & chair sit pretty low, so I love the bit of height that this stand provides - also great for watching tv/YouTube as it is sturdy and has a nice angle.

I bought this to replace a stand that only elevated the back of my notebook, and this is working out great. It brings my notebook monitor up to a more comfortable viewing height, and it creates enough room underneath that I can slide my wireless keyboard further forward and a little under it for a more comfortable typing position and some extra desk space. It feels sturdy enough and was easy to put together. It does bounce enough if you try to use the notebook keyboard that I dont think it would be usable that way but I wouldnt expect it to be, just a heads up.
