> 3 dayI dont want to risk spilling a jar and I know Im clumsy enough to do that at some point. Especially since I do a lot of painting flat on a table with my laptop nearby. This is nice and sturdy. Bright and easy to spot as well due to the size so I feel like Im less likely to knock it over. The ridges make it easier to get paint off the brush, and its nice having three separate places to fill with water. Just dont store your brushes vertically in the holes after rinsing. In fact I wouldnt use them at all. Youre better off just laying your brush horizontally on a paper towel. The brush will last a lot longer that way.

> 3 dayThis works much better than the mason jar I was using because it has 2 water compartments so I don’t have to get up to change the water as often. I do the first rinse in one compartment and the second rinse in the other compartment so the second rinse water stays cleaner longer. I like the little brush racks on the inside of the basin where I park my brushes when I’m switching between brushes during a project. I delayed purchasing this because I thought it was more of a luxury than a necessity but I wish I had bought it sooner.

> 3 daythese really worked well for the painting project with my Girl Scouts. I will probably purchase 2 more before our next project so they dont have to share with as many girls.

> 3 dayI love this little basin. I have had two of these for many years. I just wish I could get them without having to buy a large amount of something else to get them at the discounted price. I wanted to order some others for gifts at my watercolor class. I cant find anything but white ones at the art store here and white isnt a good color.

> 3 dayI am physically disabled and learning to oil paint with oil mixable Windsor and Newton paints. I needed something sturdy enough that I would not push it around while scrubbing the paint from my brush and so far it has done the job. I like having the two containers for dirty water and slightly cleaner water. It has helped me greatly with my painting. I was having problems with mixing new colors or contaminating other colors because I was unable to get enough of the paint out with wiping it on a rag or paper towel. Now Im able to gently scrub the paint brush against the bottom, use the divider to help remove some water from the brush, and finally wipe it off with a paper towel or soft towel. The only con I have may not be a con for others. I have three different brands of brushes and each one slides through the holes all the way to the bristles. This makes it more difficult for me to pick up the brush again. I have no finger movement in either hand, as I am paralyzed from my chest down. I dont know if it is waterproof, if I were accidentally to tip it over. Hopefully, I will never have to accidentally discover that it is. LOL I think anyone using water-soluble paints would be perfectly happy with it. Im not sure I would use it with solvents other than water. It may work perfectly fine but that is not a need that I have to worry about.
