> 24 hourThis thing is solid. Is can handle all the crap the airlines throw at it... along with all the pointless TSA unlawful searches. Thanks for violating my rights TSA, said no one.

> 24 hourMore expensive and not as well made as its sister bag the Pelican 1650. Bought both to compare and then returned this one. Extremely happy with the tan 1650 I chose.

> 24 hourI did a lot of research on travel cases before I decided on the 1615. The size, the foam and the fact that its maximum dimensions added up to Southwest Airlines maximum allowable checked luggage size (62 H+W+D) convinced me to buy one. Strangely enough, the Pelican sites shopping catalog showed it as Out of Stock, but Amazon had some, which gave me total confidence that if it didnt pass first inspection, I could return it.

> 24 hourAfter looking at a lot of rolling suit cases, including some upwards of $1500, this was the only one I knew would stand up to the abuse airlines will put luggage through. I’ve seen Pelicans get run over by trucks and not miss a beat. One trip down with this case reaffirmed it. The quality is typical Pelican - nothing but rugged and utilitarian. It’s got locks built into the latches, several interior folder pockets on the inside of the lid, I can’t imagine the wheels ever breaking but if they do, they come off as a unit for easy replacement, the long drag handle stows tight and secure, the lid has steel reinforced grommets for a more serious lock should you require it - all for a fraction of luxury suitcases that would surely fail well before this one ever will.

> 24 hourI love the fact that this is a rough and tumble case. Ive used it only once so far but I travel for a living and I will be on the road over 250 days a year.

> 24 hourI have two of these now. I used it to haul fragile items to Africa this summer, and I just went camping with it and took it on a boat to an island off the coast of Boston. It scratches up pretty fast, but I like patina. Good sturdy locks and a chain make it burglar proof, and I wasn’t afraid taking it on and off the boat because it’s waterproof.
