> 3 dayWhat a disappointment. First this thing is cedar not hickory. It has bends and curves which isn’t a deal breaker however the Diameter of the business end is a scant 1”. Much to wimpy. The handle is About 5/8”. Not large enough grip for a man. Maybe better for a child or woman’s hand. Even the leather lanyard is child size. Totally misrepresented Save your dough!

> 3 dayI know its natural wood aka branch, but a huge difference in circumference. The thin one was much lighter and felt small in hand. Oh well. Ill keep 1 and understand sizes will vary.

Greater than one weekThis is perfect, as a school bus driver checking tires every morning with crowbar was awful.

Greater than one weekI purchased this for protection on long walks. Its very light weight, yet sturdy enough to knock someone/something really good. It also fits really nicely inside of an average size backpack. The strap fits comfortably around your wrist, if you want to carry it that way. Definitely recommend.

> 3 dayThe Thumper, is 18 and made out of hickory. Stained and smoothed, as if its been used for years. Gives this thumper, that ole time feel. Something you might find hidden away, at an antique or days long gone store. its made in America, even endorsed by someone from TV. Lived with a bear in the mountains, hint. So why did I almost give it four stars, its where they drilled the hole for the leather lace. It should of been moved up a bit, to avoid any contact with your palm. But if you remove the loop, next to the thumper. Then retie it, your hand slips though with ease. Reach down, there it is. *Now I have to wonder, how would it work, if it was 16? The weight might be easier to control, as some you need to use your strength and not the weight of the thumper. Not gonna cut it down, just thinking is all.* Oh, as for thumping fish. I get mine frozen or in a can, never on a pizza! Do I own a truck or tractor trailer, the vehicles I played with when I was young. Had steel wheels, an once had a caboose at the end. So why did I purchase a tire/fish thumper .., for my gun belt. WHAT?! In the ole days, instead of using a gun. A gentle whack upside the head, would put an end to whatever and whoever was causing trouble. Like the batons of today, which youll see police officers wearing somewhere on their duty belt. Thats why, instead of a flashy new baton, Im looking for something old-fashioned. So if youre looking for something to whack a fish, tire or desperado with, this might be what youre looking for too.

> 3 dayI use this stick as self protection when I walk my dog at night. I’m a really small framed woman and this stick has enough weight behind it that even my little twiggy arms could do some damage with it. I have not had to use it against a person or an animal (mainly worried about other dogs not on a leash) but it has helped me fend off some moths and flying cockroaches. Aside from functionality it’s a really nice looking finished piece of wood, I like that the bark is still there.
