Awesome Carabiner, lightweight and strong. Works great for my positioning lanyard and the three way locking mechanism insures it only opens when I choose it to.

Im gesamten ein super Produkt mit entsprechendem Preis. Warum vier Sterne? Naja ich fände einen verdrehschutz super, und der Preis ist echt hoch. Habe den Karabiner jetzt eine Weile im Einsatz als Verbindung zwischen Schlaufe und Sicherungsgerät (reverso, passt aber auch fürs grigri). Und gerade wenn man einen kletterpartner hat ohne eigenes Sicherungsgerät, dann spielt der Karabiner echt seine Stärke aus. Ich hab noch keinen anderen gefunden der sich so easy einhändig öffnen lässt! Zur Sicherheit kann ich als leihe nicht viel sagen, ich halte es für unwahrscheinlich dass sich der Karabiner ungewollt öffnet. Sehr schön ist die Tatsache dass der Karabiner ausser bei einem Fremdkörper zwischen Bügel und schließe immer verschließt. Der Karabiner ist so gebaut dass sich der Bügel nicht vor dem einrasten in die schließe verriegeln kann, wie es zb bei einem Schrauber passieren kann (in offenem Zustand zugeschraubt) Naja, was soll man noch mehr dazu sagen, is halt n teurer Karabiner mit sehr gutem verschluss allerdings ohne verdrehschutz für die schenkel.

Excellent carabiner, If im using an auto lock carabiner these are the ones that I use, I see it as one of those go big or go home ideas, and they offer an extra peace of mind if I ever need to carabiner a kid into a harness knowing that if they start to play with them theyre going to have a hard time opening them and in all honesty theyre not any harder for anyone who plays with them for a bit to be able to open them with one hand without much thought (though if you have smaller hands it might be a bit harder but not impossible). As for shape, pear or D shape, it depends on what you like and what youre using it for. In which case do your research or ask someone. TL;DR: Only locking carabiner I use, allows peace of mind when i carabiner kids in so that they cant open them easily.

I use carabiners primarily for vertical caving, both for myself and as a trip leader for others. Although I think it’s of paramount importance that everyone doing vertical caving has personal knowledge of how to use their gear, including carabiners, there are situations where more foolproof carabiners such as this would be useful. Some examples include a) rigging (for security, as it can’t inadvertently open) b) theft prevention (since it is an uncommon carabiner and needs a pin to open), and c) inadvertent opening (for carabiners you definitely don’t want to open accidentally, or when used on a beginner or for example a group of scouts). It isn’t fullproof by any means however, as the unlocking pin is simply that, a pin. Any tool thin and long and solid enough could open this, even a pen, or a belt buckle. Something like this with a tiny actual key hole would serve some of these purposes better. As currently designed it can be stolen without the tool and dangerously opened without the tool by someone foolish enough to do so.
